    Anyone heard any details about the Kobe memorial? I know it’s on the morning of 2/24 but haven’t heard much in the way of any other official details. I did see a report from TMZ yesterday suggesting that most of the attendance will be for family, NBA officials/players, local politicians, season ticket holders and then they’ll have a portion of tickets available for fans on a first come first serve basis. And then they’ll close down streets around Staples to prevent crowds from gathering and won’t show the memorial in LA Live.

    All that is ... not ideal. I’m already going to be in LA the prior weekend for our game against the C Bags so once the memorial was announced I already made arrangements to stay an extra night and take that Monday off work. Figured I’d try to get a ticket or worst case assumed there would be a crowd of fans watching in LA Live that would be cool to join. Now it sounds like neither will be realistic options.

    that's all i've heard as well

    sounds like they'll release limited number of tickets that'll get scooped up immediately. i know staples was the house kobe built but i wish they would've done this at the coliseum to accommodate the number of people who want to attend

    At 8:05 of that video, there is a photograph of the trophy presentation for the 2009 Championship. Kobe is holding Giana in his arms, next to David Stern, who is next to Stuart Scott. That was 11 years ago. Now all those people are dead. Life comes at you fast.

    I'm away on business. I had 3 nights away from the wife and my normal life.

    Last night I went down a rabbit hole on Youtube and FINALLY lost it. I held everything in this entire time. It's just beyond comprehension for me still. The Gigi factor does it. I was waiting for her to hit college to see her play. She was going to make woman's basketball a staple for me and many others. It's just... awful.

    I'm still waiting for this moment to happen to me, and to be honest I'm kind of worried about when it will happen. ive kept everything inside as well but I know its only a matter of time
