The Lakers really shine through all of this. THIS is why you want to be a Laker

Tough loss today, but you know what, for one small, tiny moment during the game, my mind forgot about everything and simply enjoyed the game of basketball.

Thank you Lakers and Trailblazers for playing one of the toughest games in your careers for the fans, for honoring Kobe and Gianna Bryant and the 7 others in the helicopter, and for that one happy, peaceful moment you gave me to simply enjoy basketball again.

this is the turning point of the season

kobe's death will either get this team extra motivated to win a title OR it'll completely suck the wind out of their sails and derail their season

    let's see what happens

Hillard's comment summed it up "There were no winners tonight"

The shock has really hit me again after all the tributes.

All the respect for Damian Lillard and the Blazers tonight. They came in and played as hard as they could. If Kobe was on Lillard's shoes, I know for sure he would've gone all out on the team that's mourning their legend.

It was a hard fought, very emotional game. For once I didn't care too much about the result, but I was happy seeing some good basketball, the first I've seen since the incident.

For once, I kinda missed Melo on this game, since he was kinda close to Kobe. I saw a lot of people bashing him on twitter, calling him soft for not playing or saying things like "Kobe would've played". But Melo is not Kobe and that's fine. He had made plans to meet with Kobe after this game, and then this happened, so I would definitely understand him not playing because he still grieving.

I think we are going to see an epic barrage of scoring feats this year.

I think we will find out against Sacramento tonight. That will be telling a lot. Last nights game was just so incomparable.

    Nah it won't change a thing .

Team was mentally soft before Kobe death and will stay soft after it led by Lesoft whose getting older and has been terrible in the 4th all season long

Most of the West teams are average in their last 10 though.

    Fatigue most likely

When thinking about that night in Colorado, I just try and see the truth through all the lies in my limited capacity as an individual who was not there that night, who's only source of information are what I have seen and read online. So here are the truths for me. Only God, Kobe and that woman know what really happened that night. Everything else is second hand information or other people's opinions, whether they be right or wrong. Kobe cheated on his wife, and while morally wrong, it was an issue that was best left to him and Vanessa, and for all intents and purposes it seems that Vanessa had forgiven him, Kobe worked hard to make up for his mistake and they have moved past it. As for the other party involved, while past mistakes and reputation should never matter in rape allegations, what you do after the fact tells a whole lot. Kobe apologized and tried to better himself as a husband and as an individual, the woman was in a club or a party somewhere rapping and joking about what happened that night and what Kobe did to her( there are clips online along with her real name.). I am not a woman nor have I been a victim of sexual assault, but I don't think that that is a normal behaviour of someone who was supposedly raped and assaulted. And finally, Kobe was never found guilty of any crime, and as such, should never, ever have the term rapist attached to his name. For all these people to come out now, 17 years after the fact, with the man dead and unable to properly defend himself, is wrong. In fact, I'll just go ahead and say it. These people are the rapist. They are raping the name and reputation of a man who is no longer here, a man whose death has moved millions all over the world and inspired a lot of people to make positive changes in their lives. These are the type of people who are not happy with how there lives have turned out, are insecure about their own accomplishments and failings, that they will try to bring down anyone who has been deemed a hero and an inspiration. Shame on all these small minded people. Kobe was not a perfect man, and neither are any one of us. But he has worked hard at his own redemption and tried to make a positive impact and change in the world. What have they done besides sow more hate and slander a man. Ugh.
