What Kobe was really doing? - Getting fired up during practice and trying to push his teammates.

What BSPN thinks he's doing? - "TRADE EVERYBODY. I'M THE BEST IN THE WORLD. I'M NOT PASSING TO ANYONE." Abbot now has Kobe ranked #400 on the list of all time NBA players.

Talking trash isn't a bad thing during practice. But talk is cheap.

I'd rather hear about the coach running defensive drills.

Welp. I'll say it first. Maybe these guys just aren't talented? Maybe it's not about hard work...maybe it's just this team sucks. And you know what? It's Kobe's fault. It's management's fault. That Kobe contract that everyone is upset about? it's wringing its ugly head right now. Our second highest paid player is out for the season. We have no serviceable point guard now that Scott and Kobe have completely killed Lin's confidence both in house and in the media. Boozer is no longer a starter, so we're going with a serviceable big in Ed Davis. Wes Johnson? Let's not get started on him. Ronnie Price is our starting PG. Enough said. This team just doesn't have the talent...oh and the one guy we were all looking forward to developing this year? He's also out for the year...Randle that is. Throw in guys like Henry essentially being out for the year and Kelly going down with his annual 4-6 week injury....we just don't have anything on this team that can help us win. I'm actually surprised we've won a few games....and unfortunately I don't even see us being bad enough to be in the bottom 5....the east already has 3 teams that will surely be worse than us in the Sixers, Pistons and Knicks...and then you got the injured Twolves free falling...and the Jazz will soon join them. So we really are in the bottom 6 right now....we're going to narrowly miss being in the bottom 5 and then probably end up with the 6th or 7th pick...and then riots will ensue.

Kobe can complain all he wants....but he should have thought about that when he signed that fat contract. And unless we show that we are a team with potential to make noise? No free agent is coming over here to bail us out...

Yes I understand he's upset that they're not working hard...but it's probably due to them just not having the talent level too.

If Kobe really wants to worry about something, it's whether he'll make it past January. Fourth in the entire NBA in minutes played (779).

And of that top ten in minutes played, only one other guy is older than 30 (Bosh) and only three are above 27 (Ellis/Ariza/Lawson). Yeah.

    Ben Rosales ‏@brosales12
And of the top ten in MP, Kobe unsurprisingly leads the field in total FGAs by a country mile. 492 FGAs, second place is Ellis with 417.

So not only is Kobe playing a ridiculous amount of minutes, his minutes involve more effort/exertion than anyone on that list.

His minutes played are pretty scary, and we are losing games regardless of his minutes so it's also pretty pointless. Byron is running him into the ground like everyone else I guess. Anyway, here's more tweets

    Here's the vine

Honestly, when you watch it. It doesn't even seem that bad at all. To me, it seems like Kobe was just trash talking more than yelling at his team mates.

the media is running with stupid stuff. that was fairly mild trash talk. if they want to attack kobe, the fact that he doesn't practice, then complains about how they practice would be the angle. I probably just gave henry abbott his first book/erection.

Man Kobe doesn't have a shred of sympathy for guys with confidence issues at this level, especially not for a vet makin what Lin's makin. I gotta agree with him on that too.

There is a fine line between leadership and abuse, and that line is the victory line. I heartily endorse Kobe's profane pyrotechnics. Nick Young saying Kobe is needed to create intensity in practice. That annoys me, you have a coach, you have vets (well BOozer) you have rookies. Find that intensity. Lol at Kobe yelling at Lin to shoot like he did to Lebron at that All Star game.

Kobe curses but (besides whistles) all I hear is passion and tenacity. He is saying improve, i'm giving my all, that is all I ask from you. I hope he curses more - Kobe curse cam (coming soon). What you need now is a good cop so Kobe does not have to mother them ( and can continue to mother@#$#@# them.) Young and Hill that is on you. Question what do our assistant coaches do? ( I never see them much). Somewhere a whole fleet of sailors are blushing.

This practice trash talk is nothing. In the days where mostly grown men played this game and everyone wasn't so freaking sensitive, I'm pretty sure this was normal practice stuff. But now there's social media and cameras everywhere and there's so many kids playing the game. Just as one example, if they'd have had cameras on MJ in practice during his Chicago days, I believe we'd hear worse than this.

Jeremy Lin did look genuinely frightened though lol.

Well, im sure Lin wishes he was still in Houston. Coward and Beard can scream at you but you won't get scared. Looking at Kobe, he probably thought "ok, someone is going to get knocked the eff out". Even Mitch looked a little scared ;).
