LOL where's @LittleBirdie ? Maybe Kobe has been staying in shape because he likes to be in shape and be able to handle business at major commitments such as this.

So with all these 50 pt games happening, only 2 times has there been 4 50 point games in 9 or less days:

I'm on a Mac. That Granity Studios clip runs but no audio. Other things don't open sometimes.

I remember that stretch when Kobe went for 50 4 games straight with the 65 point game in the fourth game. That was crazy, such a high level he was playing at. And that was during the Smush Kwamay era.

This argument will forever happen. Because these guys played in different eras. But I'm pleasantly surprised at the comments under the video. Very pro-Kobe.

If there were a scientific way to make that 2 on 2 happen via time machine that would be epic lol.

I'm sure Kobe took more shots to hit those 50 point plateaus but the games were much lower scoring back in the days.

So 4 straight 50 point games are worth a lot more in a day and age where average teams score 90-100 points. Nowadays with the calls and the 3 ball its much easier to get there and teams are scoring probably on average 20 ppg more than they did back in the days.

I remember when the Pistons would keep teams under 80 for like a month. That's kind of impossible now. They score 80-90 points in some halfs.

I saw someone on twitter the other day say "DRose's 50 > Kobe's 60" and I just kindly wrote back - "Which 60?"

A long read, but fascinating introspection of who Kobe is today in his career of storying telling and how he tries to pursue perfection even if it is impossible.

Some of the Colorado stuff seemed forced.

I saw Matt Barnes at one of my son's tournaments a couple of months back. He seems like a good dude and dad.

I agree with Kobe about Soccer. By the time I was 20 years old I had played 14 years of soccer. It helped my basketball when it came to footwork and knowing how to move without the ball to find holes in the defense or passing angles.

Being from the UK football (soccer) is the main sport and definitely helped me a lot when I was playing and still play basketball, reminds me a bit like how Vasyl Lomachenko's dad used dancing to make his footwork in boxing elite.

I can definitely see that football/soccer definitely, because of the training involved, helps on that regard and with limiting or even preventing leg injuries. I also like that volleyball, hopefully this goes for the boys too, helps with their basketball verticality on defense. Also worth noting that AI being a better football player in HS than basketball definitely helped his career in the latter sport:
