Tough act for King James to follow. 60 points last game of career after 20 years. An Oscar. What's next?
I can't believe I have to quote Lavar here but "Stay in yo lane!" http://slackiebrown.com/kristine-leahy-completely-trashed-diss-kobe-bryant-academy-award-win/
Twitter last night had a ton of people coming out of the wood work calling this win a joke and bringing up the Colorado stuff all over again. Some 15 years later and everyone just waits for the right time (what a joke).
When I saw your post ^^^ I thought it was about the Me Too thing and Colorado. Because he's getting killed there by all of his original haters in the Yahoo and other site comments. But she didn't go there too? It was only all about that other horse**** argument? What was Cowturd doing .... nodding and agreeing with her? Haven't watched or read it all.
Yesterday, I saw an L.A. Times feature in the Entertainment section doing the same thing... Did not bother to waste my time on it. Man made a stupid mistake and paid for it. People should let it go. 24 did not Weinstein all his life.
^ That’s really one of the shortcomings of the MeToo movement. Men are just being all lumped into the same category as Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby.
It's always hard to pin down what is and isn't okay for those types of movements. I feel like there's a vocal group that will use the platform for their own need to pass judgement on other people. Did anyone simply brush what Kobe did under the rug? I think he's lived with his "Scarlet A" pretty openly. When someone makes a mistake, it's all about how they follow up their transgressions. Kobe has worked hard to rework his image both publicly and privately. He doesn't have dozens of women accusing him sexual misconduct. I don't believe he was ever formally convicted of sexual misconduct or assault. His should be a story of redemption instead of disgust.
I held myself when I read #Metoo. I have a lot of respect for this board and the mods. I seriously wanted to go off. Those people can EFF off. Ill leave it at that. Seriously. All a bunch of scam artists and pieces of crap.
Guys on Sports Net right now were running with Kobe's quote about the Oscar meaning more to him than the championships, but either are unaware of the context and explanation he gave for it in that he never even imagined nor prepared for it all his life. Or they chose to ignore that. I think maybe the former.... they just didn't do their homework. But they put it out there on Twitter for stupid "what do you think" feedback.
I'm glad you clarified this. I saw that quote too and was kinda pissed kobe would say that, but now makes more sense considering the context and how he explained it
Yeah Kobe, unlike Kobe, who is always so measured and open and sometimes blunt in his replies f***** up there. Someone, maybe me, nah, someone else should find that quote. It was in the Kobe thread ..... early on after the win where the full quote was. Much better than my recap. But ALL the haters have that for additional fuel and proof that he was and is about himself and not the team.
Earlier in the game, DeRozan had a J at the free throw line where it reminded me of 24's form and release...
