pau will always be one of my favourite lakers. his arrival signaled the rise back to the top

but i don't blame him for checking out towards the end. he wasn't treated the best by the organization. constantly the subject of trade talks for 3-4 years and horribly misused by d'antoni the last few seasons

one of the biggest mistakes the lakers made in recent memory was holding onto pau for too long. he should have been dealt in 2012 when his value was still high instead of keeping him and constantly dangling him as trade bait to no avail. holding onto him for so long was a disservice to the organization and to pau. the FO should have done the right thing and dealt him

Pau was mistreated severely after helping us get #15 & #16 and at the end of the day, we still tried to retain him after all the that we put him through, with all the trade rumors and the unsuccessful CP3 deal. Yet after all that, he walked away from us for the likes of the Bulls and for less money at that.

I'm all about the Lakers, but that was one time where I sympathized with a player and was happy that we couldn't continue to mistreat/misuse/MDA him. Now factor in all his philanthropic work and how dope he was as a teammate and holy s*** was the previous FO the scum of the earth for doing that to him.

Gasol will always have warm spot for Staples, L.A. and his Laker days... Remains a favorite to this day for this fan. Gasol isn't the efficient, limber threat he used to be but still plays with intelligence out there. He had a nice high-low sequences with Aldridge...made me scream at the telly "pressure the passer!" with Kuzma covering having Randle-itis arms down and watching.

Canned a corner three, a lefty runner, blocked Ennis on a lay-in but had trouble keeping the lively Laker bodies off the glass. Gasol missed shots from short distance.

I'm a little surprised to read this given how critical Kobe was of ESPN and their "clicks' mindset. This is in regards to the issue that came up in his recent Connected with Kobe Bryant that SpectrumSportnet did with Kobe and how one of the quotes ESPN ran with was so out of context when he was referring to our young squad

I'm excited by the news and am looking forward to this as long as it isn't animated type stuff and just really on hardcore basketball terminology. Getting an idea or a glimpse of seeing how Kobe watches and views game film should be fascinating.

But, how will ESPN employ AND hate on Kobe at the same time?

I’m completely surprised he picked ESPN

Let’s see him break down LLLLL’s defense and then watch the show get cancelled.

Curious if he’ll attempt to just keep it positive (What everyone is doing well), or if he’ll be pointing out everyone’s mistakes.

I watched The Interview with Ahmad Rashad on NBA TV last night. Very well done... Introspective about 24 the person yet nothing was really revealed other than he wants the public to know that he is just an ordinary guy off the court and a driven s.o.b. on it. Still it was better than the other fluff pieces in the series.
