To be honest, I liked the sound of the sunset one better... Of course snakeskin appealed to Kobe more, it's his! It really seems like the Lakers are doing everything they possibly, possibly can to honor Kobe and I think the reason is because they want to convince LeBron and/or George that this is what they'll get when they come here. You want additional revenue streams? Watch how many of these weird Kobe-centric jerseys we sell! You could have your own personal Laker-centric LeBron or George jersey! This will probably appeal more to George financially, but LeBron in terms of "legacy" would fit well in this theme of honoring greats. You can bet your *** the Lakers would sell a tremendous amount of LeBron merchandise, not just while he's playing by for f***ing ever; especially if he and these kids can pluck a title out before he retires.
- Kobe sending Phil tapes of his girls basketball team running the offence that he coaches is so Kobe - Kobe telling his team what to do with the trophies they received, haha
OMFG. The first 36 seconds. Was THAT the mythical Kobe copter? Look at the size and luxury of that sucker.
I don't. playing hard for Spain's NT, cruising, floating during the season while getting the big bucks from the Lakers, it was right to trade him then and finally let go.
You’re dealing in nostalgia. He was garbage at the end here. When he was at C it was a layup line to the hoop, it was brutal to watch. On offense he was playing softer than he ever had, he was pretty much entirely checked out here. When he was still here I was hoping so bad we’d trade him for anything of value, a first round pick even, and when he was a free agent I was hoping like hell he’d go elsewhere. I’ll always love Pau, but I choose to remember him as the 2008-2012 or so version.
I am not talking about the very end there, but what do you expect from a player constantly in trade talks, misused by the coach (at the time, at least) etc...
Well that’s what I am talking about, the end. He was not the same player anymore, he was not happy here, he had checked out. That’s why I don’t miss him, it was best for us and for him to move on. Since he has he’s at least been able to continue to be in the playoffs. Had we re-signed him we’d have remained as bad as we were though, he’d be our current Brook Lopez.
