48/54 Stupid multiples threw me off. I forgot about B Shaw because the whole time i was thinking, who else played guard. I remembered Powell's face but could not remember his name. Hunter and Penberthy were the last 2. i missed on 4 guys.
Kobe Bryant: ‘Real’ Competitors Will Embrace Challenge Of Facing Warriors By Trevor Lane - 08/28/2016 http://www.lakersnation.com/kobe-br...race-challenge-of-facing-warriors/2016/08/28/
I played NBA2K17: The Prelude and this video was on there. Michael B. Jordan is a great young actor. Glad 2K wanted him in this year's game
Johnson faced down the C*****s, Jordan...the Pistons, 24 & The Big Whatever He Is At The Moment had Utah and San Antonio. Even James dealt with Detroit before he went to South Beach. Durant's biggest obstacle was...Westbrook?
Seems like that's really what it was though. Playing within a system with not quite enough talent to win it all and the clock is ticking on his legacy of championships, and sharing the ball with a supremely talented but sometimes not so smart other alpha teammate. He did what LeBron did with the "Decision" and first super team and what was best for for KD and loving his basketball life going forward,.
Kobe Bryant is watching games but doesn't miss playing http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/17947144/kobe-bryant-watched-some-games-miss-playing
So you're telling me if we are a fringe playoff team, you won't suit up and come off the bench? JK, enjoy retirement Kobe. Looking forward to seeing what you are cooking up in the next chapter.
I thought my interest in Lakers would wane a little with Kobe's retirement, even considering all the off season acquisitions. Instead, I'm invested as much as I can be right now. What has Kobe been up to, besides this That beard looking nice though...
As great as our young guns are playing you bet your a** I still miss Kobe Bryant and apart of me always will. What he did for this franchise and for me and just making me a fan of this team will always be something I'm appreciate of. Glad he went out with a bang like he did in that final game. Whenever these young kids get this franchise back on top I look forward to seeing the Mamba there smiling like a proud father.
Good to see that 24 is at peace and is keeping busy. He's got one more than Shaq. Will always love that line.
RIP to Kobe's shared record of most 3 pointers in 1 game...I knew it was only a matter of time before either curry or Thompson broke it, but im still a bit bummed.
I miss prime Kobe But there is no denying how cool it it is to both have an unstoppable go to player AND ALSO a team playing so well as a team that they are better than the sum of their parts.
I'm not bummed about the record being broken. He set the record well before everyone fell in love with the three. I'm bummed no one mentioned it in the mainstream media. He, some guy named Darnell or something, and Curry were the only guys with 12 threes in a game.
Was only a matter of time before this record fell to Curry. Call me a homer, I still find Kobe's 12 more impressive because he went out and did it simply because someone said he couldn't shoot threes, and yeah, he wasn't known as a three point shooter, and he did this relatively early in his career. Curry is a 3 point specialist. Kobe set the record for s**** and gigs, just because he could, because he was that good. If he wanted to and said "F it" some other night in his prime he probably could have made 15, who knows, because that was Kobe, dude scored 81. The record of 12/13, whichever was forever diminished by being shared by Donyell "who?" Marshall anyway. Good for Curry though, it's great that he can make all these threes in the regular season and then clam up and s*** the bed in the Finals along with Klay, can't even get Finals MVP over Iggy. Step up in the Finals for once and actually outplay Lebron and then maybe I'll be more impressed. Curry IS the greatest shooter I've ever seen, just not in the Finals. So while Magic, Kareem, Kobe, MJ, Bird, even LeBron the last 2 seasons take their games to a new level with it all on the line, I've yet to see Curry do that, or Durant or Klay for that matter. Cavs don't get decimated with injury 2 years ago and they're 2 time reigning champs, so, yawn.
The freaking fall away jump shot from Deep. MJ. Kobe. Who else came close to their proficiency with it .... anyone that great with it besides them? Tracy McGrady? Always seemed to me the most amazing and difficult kind of a shot to shoot (especially from deep with the strength and skill needed) but even more difficult to defend. Exactly why Jordan..... and Kobe following Jordan..... perfected it. Nick Young has a little bit of it still though not as extreme, because he modeled some after..... and also played with Kobe, but is that shot going to become extinct going forward? Anyone else in the league today still shooting it?
