Thank you! Now I can remove it from my DVR. Really well done. One of my favorite Kobe interviews in a long time.
Nothing was announced, but he gave them an open invitation to come to his house in Orange if they want to.
https://www.google.com/amp/blackspo...to-show-kobe-is-overrated/amp/?client=safari# Comical how these losers spend their miserable lives trying to diminish one of the truly great players this league has seen. We live in a day and age where people are so obsessed with stats don't get me wrong there is place for them, but stats can't measure heart, tenacity, competiveness, and champions. Overrated? Not unless you put him above MJ and even then it's not like you can't have a legit conversation about that. This is a dude who dropped 40 or 50 in his prime like it was nothing. A dude that routinely wanted the ball in his hands whether he missed or made. He wanted to absolutely rip your f***ing heart out. mother****** scored 60 points in his finale on dead legs. He was the undisputed best player on two of the best championship teams in the last ten to fifteen years and the closer on three other all time great teams. 81 points, 60 plus five times. FIVE TIMES. For all the noise about how he didn't make his teammates better. You don't win five titles if you don't know how to make your teammates better. I don't give a damn what numbers Kobe put up. I watched this man his entire prime. GIVE ME KOBE BRYANT ANY DAY OF THE WEEK AND TWICE ON SUNDAYS. If you think Kobe Bryant is overrated you're a damn idiot. Rant over.
As mostly a Kobe first fan, I didn't know if I would even care about the NBA after Kobe retired, but I'm really excited about the future of the Lakers right now! Kobe made me a fan for life!
OK. Maybe a lot of you already know this. I am going to guess though more may not know it. Kobe Bryant scored 23 points in nine and one half minutes at the end of the 4th quarter of his last game in the NBA and they were all needed to win the game. Pretty much like his 81 point game against Toronto in his absolute PRIME. Epic. The last couple points here were nails in the coffin he built in that nine and a half minutes. I know this because I screwed the pooch with timing of watching the OKC / GS this evening. I flat missed it. So I'm re-watching and being re-thrilled with the high drama of Kobe Bryant's final game of his career. If maybe you hadn't known this or taken note of it .... like me ..... Kobe sinks a 3 pt shot with 9:31 left to go in the 4th. That put him at 40. I just did not know this. 23 points in 9 1/2 minutes the last game of his career.
Wow that is a long interview. Only about 5 minutes in and will have to come back to it. But agree with John3:16 it's good. That said, when a major interview with a living legend and a long time pro like Jim Gray is happening .... who are these absolute cretins that have no conscience about just walking across in front of the camera??? Seen it 3 or more times in those 5 minutes. Spoken here from a sports network executive. Not buying that? OK .... from what would be one pissed off camera man if I was shooting that. No excuse.
@Battle Tested20 and @CaCHooKa Man -- the interview videos you posted on the previous page are amazing. I didn't get much sleep last night because I stayed up and watched both in their entirety. Highly recommend everyone watch them.
http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/...agic-johnson-best-of-all-time-052316.amp.html Can't go wrong with either.
I was a little sad that NBA 2K17 would be the first 2K game without Kobe as an active player, but then I saw this, pretty cool. It's an old tweet now, don't know how I missed it first time around.
Never ever. Kobe isn't even retired for me and he never will be. His legacy will always live on and be a huge part of this orginization. I don't care who we get or how good Ingram or Simmons is or even if Russell, Clarkson, or Randle develop. There will never be anyone like him. He's a legend, an icon, a hero, a warrior, a savior.
