I was watching the final 3 minutes of Kobe's last game again and.... damn! even though it's the 6.23x10^23th time I've watched it, it still feels like the third... when he makes that 3 that puts him at 56 points I still get impressed... how could he do that. He was at 47 points (which by itself is really impressive) with 2:20 to go, making it a real possibility to get to 50, but just a possibility. When he misses that potential and1 (which would've gotten him to exactly 50 points) I actually started to doubt the 50... maybe because in the last couple of years he had a number of games with 47-49 points and victory seemed almost impossible. But in two minutes, 10 became 8, 8 became 6, 6 became 5, 5 became 1 and then Kobe was draining the game-winner, and afterwards sealing the deal at the line.

I mean, come on. I always try to be positive, I trusted Kobe was going to have a good game, but come on, if someone tells me "Oh, he's going to get 60, score 15 in the last 3 minutes without missing a shot, coming back from 10 points in that time including a game-winner"... I would've probably laughed. "Haha, that'd be fantastic. Hope I win the lottery also." I literally had dreams with this night... some good, some bad... none of the good dreams ended up being as good as reality. Just wow.

Hell yeah! That's why it never gets old. It's real life and it's beyond amazing and thrilling all at the same time. I need to watch it again. At the very end of his career ..... last several minutes of it he like the country song says .... I may not be as good as I once was but.... I'm as good once as I ever was.

He had 35 with about 5 mins in the 3rd left, I thought he was going to get 40 something, probably not 50. And then he got 40 early in the 4th. I started begging for 50 and shots just kept going in and next thing you know, 60.

I had to re-watch that game. Absolutely amazing. He had a storybook ending, considering the state of the team.

    That's my DUDE.

I haven't rewatched the entire game yet, but I rewatched the highlights time and time again. Pretty much every day. Just for inspiration purposes.

I have a feeling that because of 24's constant drive and various activities, he would be in good shape like all the other retired NBA greats like Miller, Steve Smith, Hill to name a few...

Interesting seeing him say it wasn't his body that sent him out but him saying that he just wanted to be done with it. That means given a great dietician and coach he could have played until he was 40 and probably had a pretty decent statistical season but I guess, I don't know I really don't know. It's going to be so weird adjusting to Kobe being in a non-NBA career field now.

^ Yeah, i found it odd that he said that.

Kobe's body has clearly been breaking down the last couple years. He just cannot make it through a full season anymore....or even a full game a lot of times.

That's why I still can't believe what happened on April 13th...like wtf, did that really happen?!

He's completely wrong. While I love what that man did for us on the court, there's no way he could keep playing. There's just no way.

Why don't you think he could pull off 50 games a year shooting 35%?

Yes, he could will his body into doing it, but I wouldn't want to either.
