I'm still marveling at this. I may always marvel at this, for the rest of my life. This night could not have gone any better. I hoped for a good end, we got a dream end. Only Kobe man, only Kobe.
Man, I still can't believe what he did for us tonight, cannot fully fathom it yet. 20th season, absolutely shattered by injury after injury, last game of the season, and he drops SIXTY. scored 17 straight laker points in the 4th at one point. Cmon man, we couldn't have imagined such an ending for him in our wildest dreams! It wasn't a buzzer beater but that long 2 with 30 some seconds to go was as Kobe as it gets. Pulled out the mamba mode one last time for us. We have been beyond spoiled by this man's greatness. So happy for him, he deserves it. What a legend. What a career. I am still shaking my head in shock after tonight.
Where's the video of this ha ha? I can't believe they popped the champagne on him, he was probably laughing like "this isn't a championship, but what the hell"

May not be the greatest ever, but he's definitely the greatest closer ever to me. The shots he hit tonight were just a microcosm of his entire legendary career. The Black f***ing Mamba.
^Love...respect...appreciation. Now to The Kids take his advice and apply it to your own paths in life.
That was awesome, @RasAlgethi , thanks for posting all that. Kobe, captivating the whole NBA one last time, taking the spotlight from the Warriors. The video of the Suns standing around watching Kobe, just wow, ha ha, NBA players stunned.
So my girlfriend woke up and was dressing up to go to the university and she saw me in front of the pc watching nba. She asks me what's wrong? and then she said " OH are you watching the game that you told me last night?? " I said "yes Kobe's last game that is". Kobe's last game. Is this real life?
Yeah I think its funny watching other NBA players act like, well us, while watching Kobe do what he does.
f*** it man, I finally teared up a little. Googled "Kobe Bryant" and went to the wikipedia link, saw "Kobe Bean Bryant (born August 23, 1978) is a retired American professional basketball player" and then I couldn't hold it when I read "Playing career 1996-2016". It just hit me when I saw it in writing. It's starting to sink in
Kobe went 5/5 from the field and 4/4 from the line to win the game with his 15 straight points in the final 3 minutes
And I teared up in game, ha ha. Those last couple minutes were too much. I was begging for a win, and Kobe delivered the offense and we finally stepped up on D for him. The moment was so much for me, Kobe has given me everything I could want as a Lakers and basketball fan, and he did it to a ridiculous degree one last time, and I was laughing and I was crying at the same time. It was too much, I could not believe he did this again. It was tears of joy, tears of respect, tears of amazement and disbelief at what I was seeing. That Kobe could make me cheer and feel this way again one last time, like it was game 7 of the Finals, and it hitting me it was the last time he would do it, I was overcome with the emotion of the moment. I'll never forget this night.
Reading those Tweets...so proud of 24 as a Laker fan and for him. Touching and heartfelt. There were others from NFL players too. Peterson, Stewart, Taylor, Rodgers. I don't know if anyone else will get this much.
My friend went to the game (jealous) and apparently DTLA is popping right now, still. It's like we just won't the championship out there.
It was incredible. It was a clutch performance we haven't seen from him in years. He was not missing, and it came when he had to have nothing left physically, I don't know what he was running on out there, fumes I guess. It was like he saved up every last ounce of heart and clutch he had left in him this season for this moment, and everything went in at the end.
