Unfortunately, this is where we're at right now. I dont like Kobe putting up 37 shots but I'd rather see him take a contested fadeaway then watch Boozer take a 3 foot hook shot, which is pretty sad. It sucks, I must admit I'm bitter watching these other contending teams play because we had a plan and the league screwed us. And now we're stuck in this position...
But wait ..... Clarkson "passed the 'EYE' test" (him and Randle all that's worth watching this year) and Kobe was intimating he was having "trouble" keeping up with those young legs in practice, when he gave Jordan a compliment. What a treat ....."that" is gone.
What about Jimmer Fredette for a three-point shooter? He's making minimum money this year, and he's a 40% three-point shooter in his career.
lol, on 24 over or under I meant points obviously. I know its Kobe and there will be games he might throw up 24 shots or over but come on now, to say hell average over that is a gamblers bet even if you got good odds haha. Though I was completely fired up about the season before it started, im completely cool with Kobe knocking his rust off and hopefully stops jumping into the stands lol.
Of course it would be ESPN stats to release/find something like this: Either way, I had no idea Kobe was so close to that. Damn.... at least we never have had to worry about Kobe not getting the shots up there right? haha
Kobe has taken more bailout shots at the end of the shot clock than most guys have taken period. That's why he has this ignominious award.
I'm sure ESPN has been following that stat closely in order to break it out one day as just one more stat, maybe even the ultimate stat in their eyes with which to bash Kobe. But eh, whatever, can't make 'em if you don't take 'em, it's "shooting" guard for a reason. Isn't the stranger stat here that Havlicek has this record in only 16 seasons and averaged only 21 PPG for his career or so?
the stuff kobe is doing right now is that of legend. i dont think jordan could be doing what he is doing right now especially when you think of all the miles on kobes legs coupled with his recent injuries. its almost unfathomable for me to believe that kobe looks like he was never hurt. minus a little hops he is everything i hoped he would come back as. truly a bball god and if not #1, #1A all time
^Agreed. I'll say this; give him another All-Star with this current cast and Young and Kelly coming back to full health, and we're in the playoffs...Period
I now foresee Kobe playing ATLEAST 3 more years after this one before hanging them up. He had a great game, almost by the end of that game looked like same ol' Mamba to me. Shoot you can almost argue hes looked even better being that hes fresh, I seen some extreme hustle on a play where he ran up on a jiffy during a fast break from in the corner somewhere after playing D, puts basket in(I think Lin dished it on a nice pass), than sprinted back on D like nothing.
Serena Winters retweeted Baxter Holmes @BaxterHolmes · 13m 13 minutes ago Any shots that Kobe wishes he had back? "Yeah, all the ones where I’ve had to try to bail the team out at the end of the shot clock. That annoys the crap out of me."
