    Oh oh....

Built in excuse for Byron to lose games... "but Kobe didn't play for 50 games, waaaaaa, waaaaa" even though it wouldn't have mattered one bit.

Goddamit, just fire this clown already.

We still suck without him. Offense looked a little more fluid but then it hit a wall in the second half.

2-2 Last game....4-4 tonight against Heat ......has to be at like 80% since mensa Scott started giving him playing time. Like Luke was that half season with the new surface ball till they got rid of it. Metta should kick Kobe's a** if he keeps chucking those bricks.

It's sad that Kobe's body went south all at once seemingly but it also shouldn't be a great surprise to anyone based on his style of play. You don't get to 5th on the all-time list of free throws attempted without a lot of contact. There's a reason he was the most exciting player to watch for 10+ years. But there was no wind-down process, he's worn his body out. It's done. The ACL was the notice of termination and it should have said "need not reapply". 37 years old is impressive enough, he got his 50 million parting gift and he more than deserves it, in fact they should give him 3%-5% of the team for what he has brought to it financially. But he can't make it through pre-season at all or 6 regular season games without shutting it down. I just don't understand why he can't see he's done as an iso player and go out with this group and facilitate. But the problem there is we also have people we want doing the facilitating now. He could still be of use to us on court as a steadying presence and a combo scorer/facilitator. I hate to see him remembered like this.

He needs to have the exact role KG is occupying in Minnesota, especially if he's wanting to play as many games as possible this year. Role has to evolve.

As long as he plays on the last day of the season and Scott is gone by that time ...

He probably meant achilles, an injury that has ruined plenty of careers.

    so did I

Unfortunately one person in every family inherits the smartass gene. I received it in mine, and sometimes it comes out in spite of years of intense therapy to attempt to correct the condition.

Sounds about right. Let's not forget the shoulder injury he suffered last year started in training camp last year as well.
