denver and charlotte are both possible, but i wouldn't bet on us in either.

heat/nets/philly are Ls unless they decide to rest guys or something. i'd honestly sit lebron for a couple of those just to get him some rest.

The only thing that makes me feel like we won’t lose all of those is LeBron willing us to a couple of wins. We are just a bad team.

We aren't "just a bad team". At least that would mean getting a good pick or something. We're an average .500 ball team, maybe even slightly below average and we can get nothing out of a season like this. Except being completely embarrassed once it's all said and done. We might not even make the playoffs. And if we do, we'll be run off the court by... pretty much any #1-#3 team. Take your pick.

every time i'm ready to fully give up, i look at the standings and see 2 games separating 5-9 in the west. that's crazy. yes, we're likely to end up near the bottom of that (just unbelievable), but if you can get the 5 or 6, you avoid phx and gs for a round, giving steph and cp chances to break down.

ah, who am i kidding? we'll still be us.

...then you just lose in the second round, right?

our only chance is opponents' injuries, just how other teams got by last year. the longer you delay playing the best teams, the greater chance they lose someone. chris paul is 137 years old and hasn't missed a game. but he has a history of running out of gas and getting hurt. curry has a history of getting dinged up as the year goes on, too. the jazz depend on mike conley, who is also old and injury-prone.

Or you get the 6th seed and lose to Memphis in the first round

Man this is a weird season. GSW just scored 38 points in the first half and the Bucks put 77 on them. IN A HALF. On the best defence in the nba.

    Things are just wild.

The next ten could get really ugly. Especially if we don’t have Nunn or AD back. If those two or at least one of them return we could possibly turn it around but we’ve got some tough road games coming up.

We lose to Heat, Nets, and Philly no matter what.

Nuggets could go either way. They have their own injuries going on over there. Can Dwight get in Joker's head like he did in the bubble?

If AD is miraculously back for the Jazz and healthy, not just a gimmick player, we could beat them. Least intimidating playoff matchup in the West.

I think we take Indy and ORL. I'll also say that Monk gives the Hornets a revenge game and we get that one.

    So all that to say...4-4

yeah, even though i've touted memphis, i'm still not a full believer. they're definitely ripe for an upset in the first round.

I honestly don't think we are average despite our record. I think we've got arguably the greatest player of all time which covers for a lot and gets us wins we shouldn't. We have spurts here and there, but the team just hasn't shown me much overall. When you look at the league, how many teams would you say are sure wins? And I'm not being flip here, that's my serious thought when I look at our team. We've got multiple losses against objectively bad teams.

I just don't feel like we are good or average right now even with our record. Hopefully that changes.

yeah, our record is overselling our performance. yes, we missed AD or lebron for more than 1/2 of the season so far, but we've also played a home-heavy schedule against mostly bad teams. we'd have to improve dramatically to tread water, record wise.

Yeah, that's one way of looking at the situation. Personally, I think we're just below average, but not truly bad. I don't know if that makes any difference, if you're the Lakers, really.

If we win today against the Nets, I'll stay with my 4-6 prediction. AD is back, that will help.
