...=wondering what another year in the weightroom working on his hops will do...if anything...would love to see him throw it down on someone with one of those drives...can't figure out what it is that is preventing him from being 'explosive' at the rim. Then again, that is not required to be a great NBA star...if you have a jumpshot and good handles.

I'm really impressed with this kid. I liked him a lot when I watched the NCAA tourney, but I wasn't sure if his bullying under the basket would work in the pros, especially since he's not big for his position in the NBA. But he's being smarter with his aggressiveness in preseason. I agree with Lakerfan, in that once he develops his footwork so that he's balanced while moving, he's gonna be a force.

LO's skill set unmatched by most in the nba though. He could do a lot of things. Randle is a LONG way from that.

If you think about it, Randle kind of has some of LO's skills.

He's a lefty PF, that can handle the ball, and Randle is a pretty underrated passer.

What LO had was length, and that really gave him an advantage when taking it to the basket.

LO was a beast. One of the most talented player to ever lace a sneaker. If he had Kobe's mentality, he would've been a 1st ballot HOF.

Julius hitting the jumper. Grabbing a board and taking it coast to coast. Post ups. The ability to take players off the dribble. The passing.

Reminding me a lot of LO tonight. So versatile at his size.

Excellent game from the young fella.

The BEAST inside of him was clearly alive tonight.

I was out of my seat with a couple of the plays he made tonight! Very nice to see

Randle said Scott hard on him, but not bc he's a rookie. Randle: "Coach Scott holds his players responsible for everything, good, or bad."

Randle gets that David West jumper down and it’s over.

Randle is a damn beast in person. Lakers fans should be excited about him. Great pick

Randle can handle and dish too. Little LO in his game.

Randle can go. Should be starting and playing huge minutes this season. Get the growing pains out the way.

Thank God we don't have to worry about Pringles running this guy into the ground.

Randle's got some handles, but can he be the man tho, before he blows out his next candles.

Wow, what a sick game from Randle!! The no look pass to Clarkson, the killer jump shot, the high percentage (70% from the field), the coast to coast plays . . . He's one of the most exciting Laker players in some time. He's got huge upside and he's just flat out fun to watch. You can't take your eyes off him when he's out there.
