Thanks, Real. I feel a little better.

Though, the continued existence of the bump does concern me a bit. Still have to wear a pad to protect it? Dang.

Not that scared by the medical staff.... the fact that he broke his leg with no contact has always made me wonder however. That's a really rare occurrence. The "bump" and no recollection of previous injury is also interesting.

A whole bunch of lower leg issues already with him. I hope we don't see this become a chronic condition.

If it's hardened at this point it sounds to me like calcium deposits on a broken bone, but it's hard for me to say without seeing an x-ray or something. If I had to guess, I'd say it's previously fractured area of his bone that he didn't treat properly and now there's some discomfort. It happens to almost everyone. I fractured my shin in high school and never got it treated, now it's sensitive and aches every now and again. I would think it's something along those lines.

Skimmed it but it is good to know that they are monitoring him. I would not want this to be Karl Malone 2004 Redux...

About the thread title...I like "Ox" for Randle. Other than the late, great John Entwistle, the name fits. Lotus Flower? Really? The 60's is long past.

@gcclaker Those are all nicknames his teammates have given him in the last couple of days. :D

Tarik Black was the one who called him a Lotus Flower.

Seriously? Now Black is the "sensitive" type, eh? At least off the floor anyway. If I were Randle, I'd cringe...

Yeah Tarik was trying to be funny, and was, because everyone was saying apparently the obvious ..... beast, monster. This is a special player. Look at the highlights from last Summer League and pre-season games against some top tier players bouncing off him and the skills he was showing. Then realize we are about to see a faster, stronger and more skilled version. Who is 20 years old and quoting again his KY teammate Dakari Johnson....."is fearless".

I don't know to be honest. If LBJ is 1, Davis is 1A. And I am one of the biggest LBJ "supporters" on the board. Davis is insane. He took utter dog crap to the playoffs in the West. He may not have passed him yet, but I think he will within two seasons.

true, i think lebron has regressed but he's still got a few yrs left at the top

i've been lobbying for us to "steal" phx staff

if they can do wonders for old players like shaq and grant hill imagine what they can do for everyone else

come to think of it i rarely see phx with major injuries

they kept nash in one piece til he broke down here, that takes talent

    So did LeBron. :D

There's guys on his tail, but LeBron is still the best player in the game. This is like Kobe a few years back.

LeBron is a male sex organ a lot but he's still the best overall player in the game by a pretty good margin. The only reason CLE wasn't swept was because of him.

I agree. As long as he stays healthy, I'm predicting Davis is going to have an MVP season this year. AD is monstrous. Love that guy's game.
