Gotta throw a thread up for my man crush. 10/10 in 20 minutes or your money back, guaranteed.

If he stays out of foul trouble, he's going to have a solid season. 1st time in his career that there will be consistent playing time without the threat of having to make 15 footers or get benched.

^ The irony there is he actually really improved his 15 foot jumper. Byron said he's really comfortable with him in the pick and pop.

I'm hoping he doesn't get injured this year. It really seems like every time he starts playing extended minutes he gets injured. For now, he's a high production player in spurts. It would be huge for the team if he sustains that type of play with extended minutes.

If he just wasn't so "injury prone". (where's my eyebrows up and down guy) so Doc doesn't blow a gasket. :)

I think the entire squad from last year could be called "injury prone". New year, new conditioning and hopefully some new karma.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how much he has improved this year. I definitely believe him when he says he's been working on that 15 foot shot, which can only help his game.

I do however, and I want to go on record with this, believe that Hill will be traded by the trading deadline. His contract is set up in such a way that it looks like a hard one to trade but when reading the details can be very team friendly.

I read this on Twitter about a week ago and it was pretty amazing. Jordan Hill has been with Kobe the longest out of anyone else on the team now that Pau left the Lakers.

I hope Byron agrees with you. And the thing is, we don't even need him to play more than 25 minutes a game. Davis can play backup C, with Sacre maybe getting thrown in there, and even Randle or Boozer if we're going small. I think that's how Hill can contribute best for us - not a ton of playing time, but efficient, and HEALTHY.

@Doc Brown is straight up seething right now about this injury talk.

I'm very excited about Davis and Hill together. They're going to be a really solid 1-2 punch around the League. You'll have a hard time finding two PFs/Cs that will work as hard as them and they complement each other really well.

I really hope we keep this guy for the long haul. He's the consummate role player and then some. Would be great if he could be part of a championship team in some way.

Hill would be killer off the bench, especially if we could have Davis off the bench at the PF with him. However we need a bigger body with a defensive mentality as a starter IMO.

With the way Hill has been hitting the jumper, he'd be perfect at the 4 next to a legit 7 footer.

    Marc
    Hill
    - (Shooter)
    Kobe
    Lin

Would be a superb starting 5.

I agree. I love Jordan's energy and ability, but his slight frame makes him much more suited for the 4.

    M. Gasol, Monroe, Robin Lopez, maybe even DeAndre Jordan... Heck maybe one of those big kids coming into the NBA next year Towns or Okafor. We need a big solid body for the 5 spot.

Jordan's shot has absolutely money the last few games. Great to see. I really doubted he would become such a good mid-range shooter. Yeah, in the ideal world Hill would be our 4 rather than 5. He's just better suited for it. If we could pair him up with M. Gasol that would be insane. Keep Ed Davis too, though. He's great.

Yeah, shout out to Jordan; he's been lights out these last two games. I hope it's not an outlier. Keep this up all season and it improves our offense & spacing a ton....

Been just killin' it from midrange. I also think its going in now. Really glad he stopped the alcohol amongst other things this Summer and really worked on his offensive game. His hook shots are always going to be reliable and now he has the J

    Jordan Hill: 30 MPG*, 14.8 points*, 9.2 rebounds*, 1.8 assists*, 1.6 blocks*, 52.8% FGs. 27 years old.
    Ed Davis: 22.8 MPG, 10.4 points*, 7.2 rebounds*, 1.0 assists*, 1.4 blocks*, 66.7% FGs*. 25 years old.

Those *s would be career highs. It's five games, but we have two near double double bigs who are under 28.
Add in a healthy Randle, a healthy Kelly and we have four young, solid bigs.
Add in Young and Kobe - two solid wing players.
We need another wing player and a PG.

Give me Rondo and Klay and I'm a happy camper.

Jokes aside, I can't help but wonder if Westbrook could grow some brain under the tutelage of Kobe. He seems to never be mentioned when the potential additions to this team are discussed and I understand why. I hate the way he's playing and he is a terrible fit for Durant, but maybe if he had a more nasty, alpha-dog teammate like Mr. Bean, could it help?

I appreciate the fight Westbrook has. I know he's a good fit for LA and he's a UCLA guy, but I don't know that I'm super interested. He's had some serious injury problems the last couple seasons and his game is based at least 90% on his athleticism. As that fades, what has he developed? He's not a fantastic ball-handler, he's not a reliable shooter, his court vision is above average but not excellent, his footwork is nothing special... I don't see his game aging well at all.

That being said, I'd take it if we can't find other suitors. Give me what we can get from younger players.
