I was going to pick up Jordan on my fantasy team in place of Elfrid Payton, but someone snatched him before i could. The fan in me picked Kobe, and I had a failed pick in Terrence Ross so I've had to work the waiver wire. I kind of sort of hope Jordan makes me regret not picking him up. I like what I've seen from him so far.

I really want him to try and make all-rookie 1st team now and I think he has a relatively good shot at it. What other rookie PG has a shot to overtake him, Smart?

Better yet, cancel the whole AS weekend ;). Only watchable thing is the 3 point shootout. This year should be good with Curry, Klay and Korver.

Nah he's had plenty of time to figure out what to do with his money and plan for retirement from the league. Maybe he just needed some me time ;-)

Didn't Lillard get an invite to the 3pt shooting contest too. If so, he will be on his game trying to prove the world made a mistake not naming him a reserve for the game on Sunday.

He's more suited at the 2. So, putting a more pure point at 1 through Free Agency or if we drafted a PG, Clarkson could move to the 2 and play off ball where it would open up his game even more; cutting, slashing, creating, spot up shooting, transition buckets, etc.

It would simplify the game for him, and I think put him in a more advantageous position to look for opportunities to score and or create for himself more exclusively and cause havoc for opposing teams defense because Clarkson has the ability to score in multiple ways and create for others. Defenses have to pay attention too him.

I think he could start in the right scenario, IMO. Acquiring a very good PG as I mentioned before; getting an All Star at the wing position SF; JR develops into what he think he could become; maybe a 3rd option on a very good team and drafting a Center; ahem Towns. :).

Clarkson has turned out to be an excellent draft pick. He needs to continue getting these minutes. It's the only way he will continue to develop.

Reminds me of Ramon Sessions' speed when he first got to us before Brown and the Lakers' situation at that time screwed him up. He also didn't seem to have the big balls needed to perform on the big stage during the playoffs. Clarkson "seems" like he could be mentally more tough and is certainly quick and physically gifted as well. What does anyone else think, simply with speed comparing Jordan to Ramon? Not as fast, similar, faster, all around athleticism?

He's got almost no PG instincts at all out there. It's weird because I thought in the Summer League he looked different moving the ball a little more fluidly. In the NBA the ball sticks to his hands even more. He's having a hard time adjusting to NBA defenses as far as passing the ball goes.

Definitely I see him as more of a SG than a PG, but he completely fits the trend of today's NBA. A PG that is more of a scorer, but can pass a little bit too. He fits that mold precisely.

LT is right about when this kid puts his foot on the gas. LOOK OUT. He's one of the faster players I've seen in a while. Not quite John Wall, Derrick Rose, or Russell Westbrook, but not too far behind that either.

I see him ideally as our scoring punch off the bench. He'd be great as our "change of pace" guard. Go out and get Rondo or Dragic, then use Clarkson as a guy that can spark the team in transition. Spot starts for him as a SG.

Also he needs to strengthen up a bit too.

Is he a starting caliber PG? Probably not but he would be great off the bench at either guard spots.

He could be a steal in this draft. I just compared his stats to those from Smart and Peyton, and since he became a starter with consistent minutes, they are actually better, than theirs. He should improve the 3pt% and get more assist(that is if Kelly would actually start hitting some shots), but everything else is OK.

Yeah I got no impression that Peyton was "looking like" a markedly better player than Clarkson the other day when they went against each other. Just one game though I understand.

I could see that but he's a better shooter and defender. Seems like the real work will be developing a midrange game. He likes the three and attacking the rim.

his basketball will become better, what i like is the inspiration to become the best he could be, his desire to take shots at will even when he is a rookie and the desire to learn from everybody.
