Player A: Dwyane Wade - Rookie Season
Player B: Monta Ellis - but a mistake; he was 21 (but in his second season)
    Player C: Jordan Clarkson

Yeah. I meant 800k next year. I don't care what anyone is making this season since it's essentially over in my eyes.

Good stuff. Excited about his potential future with this team. So much more room to grow, too.

Byron just compared Clarkson to Russell Westbrook. Sort of. Said Clarkson "nowhere near" Westbrook as a player but has similar athleticism.

Scott also remarked that Tarik Black "wears basketball shoes, kinda like Kenneth Faried, but Black isn't fit to walk on the same earth as the young Nugget."

"Doesn't Ryan Kelly also play ball?" Scott wondered aloud as he shuffled away from the interview. "Sorta like Adam Morrison, but obviously Kelly is a pretty pale imitation of AMMO," he seemed to say under his breath.

Nowhere near Westbrook but with similar... wait... what? What is Byron smoking these days? I sincerely hope that's a joke.

Similar style of play. Attack the rim and use the threat of attacking to clear room for jumpshots.

    That's about it.

I gotta say. Watching our (this stage of their careers would be point guards bump around and take the beatings and do their best to be elite in getting to the rack and break down defenses) ...... makes me miss the Triangle when it was really clicking. Like those 5 or 6 games when Kobe was out back I forget how many years ago, and the team was just executing it and moving the ball and we beat some good teams in that little run. If I'm remembering it right. Not so dependent on the point guard doing everything. Just a random thought.

Sure, but I'm even surprised that a 2nd rounder makes more than about 100k a year. Times have changed. Get drafted and your life changes immediately.

The minimum salary has been over 400,000 for a while now. At least the last 3-4 years.

In the player's defense, they pay agent's 10% then they get half (maybe less depending on the state) of what's left after that. So that 400k is probably closer to 180k-190k. And I hate to say it, but in today's day and age, 190k isn't THAT much. I mean, it's considerably more than my household's post-tax income, but it's not like they can work for 3-4 years and retire. That's upper management money at some companies.

Yeah I'm not sayin anything about the players. I totally support them. I just didn't realize how much the baseline salary was now.

The thought hit me to compare, but it was pretty late in the game. What do you "handles" aficionados think of comparing Jordan's dribbling skills now to where Deron Williams currently is at in his career? The quick few observations after the thought .....I was thinking that right now, not Deron's prime, Jordan is right there or even better.
