Couple questions: who is saying giving up a pick for Hield is a good idea? Unless you're confusing adding Turner. Folks might have said they would give up for pick for Hield/Turner. I haven't seen anybody say giving up a pick for Hield individually is a good idea nor support the idea. I'm just curious where you get this from...
Right. If anything we've consistently questioned adding Hield even going back to giving up KCP and Kuz for him.
So, contrary to Woj, Haynes, Stein, Fisher, Jova, who have all basically stated that we have tried to shop WB, but you're saying it just hasn't been serious? I think they've been pretty serious about it since this last February, but they just haven't found a deal that works for them i.e. giving up a pick or two as been reported. I mean: to give up a pick just to dump WB when you gave up one up to acquire him wouldn't make any sense, and I'm tired of giving first round picks away just like candy. Either way, I think there's an increasing likelihood Irving stays in BK and WB stays here.
I don't see how us shopping Russ could be in question at this point. We're clearly shopping him just looking for the right deal.
Luol Deng has been working out hard to make a comeback, and wants to leave the NBA on his own terms. He'd be willing to sign for the minimum for that and a chance at a championship. He has signed with Klutch to get the word out. There is video of him shooting in the gym as well. Worth a chance for end of the bench? Spoiler: Sneak Peak
Shopping him to the same two teams since December.? It's was Houston first, then Charlotte or Indiana ever since. These ideas keep getting reposted by the media but it's still the same deals. At this point if there was really interest in them, they'd be done already months ago.
Rehashing the same trade scenarios month after month isn't seriously shopping him. These guys have all been reporting the same Charlotte or Indiana stuff since before the All Star break. Nothing has changed, The Lakers don't want to take back injury risks owed long term money or give up picks. There is never anything new..same stuff. I don't consider that to be seriously shopping him. The Kyrie thing though..I'm all in on that one.
Nah all just smoke and mirrors with the FO on all these attempts to appease LeBron and Klutch. They love Russ and what he gave us last year.
If we aren't sending a draft pick to complete that deal then we aren't. Two could be negotiating but one? That's not serious at all.
We'll see what happens by training camp, but the notion that giving up a future 1st, in a Kyrie deal is somehow a bad idea is ridiculous.
