A better owner would have surrounded herself with personnel that would have laughed at the idea of trading for Westbrook, especially after seeing us make him the main reason we beat his team in the bubble playoffs. So yes I blame Jeanie, she has final say, anyone could see how bad a fit Russ was with LeBron and AD. She also needs to learn that “home run” star moves are not always the best ones, we literally just saw this, as having 3 stars caused us to have a roster of old washed up players instead of the KCP, Kuz, Caruso days of decently paid talent spread across the roster that got us a title.
Meh..KCP, Kuz and Caruso all shot less than 40% from the field and less than 30% from 3 against Phoenix. They disappeared in that series. All three played all season too, and we still sucked without Lebron and AD on the court together. Those cats are totally overrated around here. I still pan this " fit" angle when the 3 players played a total of 21 games together spread out amongst 82 games. That is still a ridiculous idea of some kind of proven fact.
When it comes to completely discounting and discrediting MOST of our last Championship Team, he always is. TROLLING at its worst.
You are either high or just like to talk out of both sides of your mouth. You obviously aren’t paying attention to what’s going on. NOBODY WANTS WESTBRICK. We will have to give up at least one, maybe two First Rounders to dump him onto a team that most likely will just send him home. Without the drama unfolding with Kyrie and the fact that nobody wants him either, we would be taking back really bad contracts (I.e. Randle) just to move Russ. I just don’t understand your fascination with completely denying all reality when it comes to everything Westbrick.
You sound a lot like my son he's 36 and doesn't know WTF he's talking about half the time, but it sounds great to him and his friends. Several things here.. 1. I'm more pragmatic about the big picture than most I guess. It's championship or nothing period. Westbrook was traded for guys that we couldn't give away, Washington declined that trade twice. It's not like they weren't replaceable at all. How did they fare in Washington? 2.It's kiddie logic in the first place to assume that any team, is going to want to give up value for a player that's on an expiring contract that doesn't want to play there. WTH world do you live in where is this is the case? Westbrook didn't ask to be traded, so the nobody wants him jazz. is just some childish chatter. It doesn't mean jack s***, but it sure sounds good saying it huh? I guess you think that's some kind of profound statement. Nobody wants Kyrie either too right? Besides us...maybe because he hasn't expressed a desire to play anywhere else but LA? 3. I have no idea what we would HAVE to give up in a trade. Neither do you or these so called " experts ". I do know that I haven't seen one bite on these BS trade ideas involving Hayward or Buddy Hield either. Perhaps the other clubs know those are some BS trade ideas too? 4. Parroting the crowd on everything, doesn't make you smart or enlightened. All I ever see you do is cosign something someone else said. I can't think of an original thought that you've posted since you've been here. Right or wrong.. I at least post my reasoning behind my opinions. You just rail like a mental midget.
Lol..some of you guys thought it was a great idea to trade two rotation pieces and a first round pick for Buddy Hield. Yet giving up one or two for Kyrie Irving and another knock down shooter is some kind of indictment against Westbrook? Jeesh. We gave up a first for Schroder and let him walk for nothing. Damn them picks!!!!
pretty well. each piece traded for russ outperformed russ last year. this is an aggressive word salad that means nothing. nobody wants him is fact. very few teams want irving, too. when other stars have given a list of preferred teams, they still had suitors who would give up pieces just to attempt to woo them. nobody will take westbrook--it's beyond nobody wanting him. that part is established. we can't even sweeten the package enough for anyone to pay him to play basketball for them next year. i think the modern era is marked by a different kind of mental midgetry that suggests that agreeing with a large consensus must indicate that you're not thinking for yourself instead of validating something that is objective reality. everyone here says russ sucked last year because he did. period. being the lone holder of the opposite believe doesn't make you f***ing galileo right now. how is this the jeanie buss thread?
I took the.. either being high or just liking to talk out of both sides of my mouth comment as an insult. Pont taken...no worries.
Meh..talking about an aggressive world salad meaning nothing. You don't know who wants anyone, other that what gets floated about in the media. I guess nobody wants Buddy Hield or Gordon Hayward either correct? I haven't seen it posted anywhere , that Westbrook has actually made a trade demand. So again the nobody wants or will take him is a floated common theory not a fact. There are also reports out that say the Lakers haven’t even seriously tried to shop Westbrook. Your opinion is yours..It has absolutely no affect on mine. I couldn't care less about "what everybody thinks" Trying to continually voice what you or others think, and consider it to be a fact, doesn't make you f***ing Sir Issac Newton either.
so your assertion is that people want westbrook, but while the lakers have been shopping him everywhere, they all just pretended not to? i've seen no report saying we haven't shopped him. the reports are that we have, and that we won't attach two unprotected 1sts just to get off him. the sky is blue.
My assertion is that the Lakers haven’t seriously shopped Westbrook at all. If we wanted to move him, we would have. The pick stuff is a valid cover for saying that we discussed trade scenarios. We gave up one for Schroder and let him walk for free. I don't think we value them as much as some teams do. So NO..passing on a John Wall, Gordon Hayward, or Buddy Hield centered trade , because of a pick request, isn't the burning example of not being able to move Westbrook as you seem to think it is. We didn't want those deals period and didn't devalue Westbrook to the point that we felt compelled to give up said pick. If that's your opinion of aggressively shopping a guy whatever..we disagree on the subject. We shouldn't have to attach two unprotected draft picks to get rid of any player on an expiring contract. That s*** is a totally stupid idea in the first place. That's just some Laker hate media BS, that you and others have seemingly bought into. However..I will say this again..Kyrie Irving and a Seth Curry are most definitely worth 1.
Lol..FWIW The sky isn't actually blue Professor..you should know that. https://indianapublicmedia.org/amomentofscience/sky-blue.php
I don't know Rock..we gave up 1 for Schroder, gave up 1 for Russ. A lot of folks thought giving up 1 for Hield was a good idea. Kyrie and Seth Curry? I'd roll the dice on that one. Kyrie is still prime time if his commitment is there
