    I mean, no?

But my point is that you can’t point to what mdj has done at this stage that would differentiate him from younger rambis. Maybe his arc is different, but maybe not. The process by which they got there in the first place is nearly identical, though.

Kurt was a magnificent addition to the Front Office. I'm hoping he becomes President of BBall ops myself...

By George, you'd think Jeanie & Jordan would have a cloo and let Phil into the casa with this. But I guess Jeanie is running with new amigos now. Plus tresoro doesn't have quite the cashet.

Cool pic. But who are the 2 on the left and the guy on the right? Looks like an expensive crowd for sure.

Now THIS, this I would have brought Jimmy Buss in on. Something he knows about and grew up with, not learned on the fly. Being a lush. And hell bring in Chaz too ftm.

You may not be able grab 10 NBA fans out of a bar and expect their opinions to be pretty much identical to those of pro scouts but grab 10 tequila fans out of a bar and ask them to rate tequila, their opinions are pretty much gold

Let's discuss civilly @vasashi17 's quickly posted under duress today, but with all summer long thinking and preaching about what we should have done ..... roster. Compared to the 15 chosen after Leonard stiffed us and played us .... as the contingency plan by the people in the organization including all those involved in talent appraisal and scouting and Rob Pelinka (with serious feedback from AD and Lebron) (and yes the Rambii) .... that Jeanie Buss let make the decisions.

    Lakers FO

    Bron
    AD
    Kuz
    McGee
    Boog
    Green
    Bradley
    Rondo
    Caruso
    Cook
    Daniels
    KCP
    TNT
    Dudley
    One spot wisely left open

Shooting from the hip first thoughts here:

When was Dwight an early choice? May have to be replaced.

Whiteside over the wonderful two way player McGee has become?

If Rondo is acknowledged as a necessary evil, how can KCP be left off considering Klutch basically has made the Lakers contenders again with Lebron and AD forcing his way here? KCP tax.

Where is the Bald Eagle?? At his low dollar contract and 2 way play plus being a ball handler to help save Lebron from having to do what he is going to do anyway because that is how he has always played?

Noah? No, vash, assignment incomplete. Insert another player that we could positively have had with no fudging or assuming unknowable stuff about what they would have taken for salary, and no one has a crystal ball to know injuries in advance here, so Noah not applicable.

See how much more fun this will be than paragraphs and paragraphs for us trying to wade through to understand what we should have actually done ..... to have done it right?

Uh, don’t want to, but since it’s you, I’ll partake.

My scenario had me sitting on our cap instead signing up guys right away after Kawhi chose to go down the hall. So waiting on Boog to go down and Dwight’s buyout is a reality in my scenario.

I think the Klutch tax ie Kcp is overblown. If we locked up Kawhi, Kcp doesn’t get that type of bag. AD, a klutch klient, even gave up his extension opportunity via the trade kicker to go get Kawhi. So that extra 4m he left on the table wasn’t meant for Kcp in the least.

With Whiteside’s 27m, you got roughly 7m left in cap to go get Boogie and McGee if AD still isn’t interested in an extension via his kicker. If he is, the room exception can be used to get AvBrad or McGee, like I stated.

I like Noah as a backup 4 & 5 so that he helps AD get some wind while Kuz gets Bron some. But if no Noah, you still can go vet min shopping with the rest of the names I provided. They were all obviously waiting around on Kawhi’s decision, meaning they all seemed to be okay in taking the vet min.

As for my squad, I got Whiteside and Miami’s 2022 1st that was rerouted twice from the Clips to Okc in the Harkless and George trades. I can use that combo to flip for a disgruntled star at the deadline...meanwhile our current roster has no such capability.

Oh I left Caruso off my squad to piss you off haha. It worked, didn’t it?

always only heard about her Dad

That's never easy. I'd imagine she kept out of the spotlight as much as she could, and she probably wasn't with Dr. Buss for a very long time.

That was a great read. On a lot of those topics, you're hearing from Jeanie for the first time about them. Really good stuff here.

Props to Jeanie for staying the course and remaining loyal to the people she trusted when the whole Basketball world was calling the organization a dumpster fire. I really hope that she gets her first ring as The Owner.
