Yeah, looking back at this thread I must have missed this initially, all I had seen before was that he had like an altercation with police, I didn’t know why. Not good, but I did see in the ESPN article the team was aware of this and Rob said Hayes was remorseful, but with our history in how we’ve handled this stuff I’m shocked we signed him in the first place, so I don’t know what happens from here. Trevor speculates some here
Weezy linked to Trevor's comment, tonight. This the first I've seen of Trevor, who has a great voice and seems both knowledgeable and thoughtful and hardcore Laker fan. And I swear, I read this report about Hayes on some mainstream website and immediately: felt naive (I knew nothing about this, which apparently was public in 2021?); disappointed because you watch a player for awhile and he takes on a certain vibe, which maybe we mostly don't even articulate to ourselves or characterize...and we're wrong about the guy? (Not that any of us should be judged solely by our worst actions, unless, you know, you're Hitler or someone like that.) Maybe this was just Jaxson's worst day ever? And he happened to have had a recording device around? (Nawww...damn.) Followed very quickly with: who's gonna be a backup Big? We got no one! We're effed! Trevor, for the video, suggests Bron at the 5 for parts of a game: I mean, he's almost 40. But ya never know with this guy. Out over my skis? ...All within, like, 90 seconds.
Did the time for the crime BUT man that's a bad look. Rob and (mainly) Jeanie have a decision to make with that video front and center in everyone's mind now. Personally I have a no tolerance for this kind of thing when there's a smoking gun. There's no he said, she said. There's clear video. so I'd send him away until he can be moved and bring up Koloko a little sooner than he's ready. Think we have an easier decision on which min center to include in our december trade for an upgrade though.
If Rob wasn't in love with f***ing guards, this would be a no issue (meaning, dude would be gone by now). But no, let's roll with Hayes and Wood who did wonders for us last season...
These morons and their females. Julio Urias ruined a 200 million dollar contract with this s***. And now it looks like Jaxson Hayes career is over. No one learns, do they? Women and fame and money is exacerbated. THINK!!!! Idiots.
So it was all good, as long as they remained a couple, but now she files a lawsuit 3 years later, after breaking up, now..all of a sudden, it's supposed to be some kind of big deal? It's cheaper to keep her..I guess.
Did you see the 6 minute version? Or is there another one out there? The one I saw he sorta was all up around her, spit on her from a ways but I don't know if it hit her. After that he slowly turned some furniture over with no aggressiveness and then it clipped to the cops trying to keep him on the ground. Anyone see another version where he actually smacked her? Or where he was messing with the police?
I watched it, never saw him hit her, but he behaved poorly. Thing is, I thought he already settled this case!!?? Didn't he have a court settlement? Why is this coming out now? And wouldn't this be a violation of the settlement?? Something fishy about this coming out now.
