Yea. Gawd I love Vando's D. Just watching him. What a major drag. Non-contact injury. Damn. And I distinctly recall my reaction when Rob did the freaky three-way last season with Utah and Min. Looking at the names: finally: Russ is gone! We got D-Lo! And by the way, who is this Vanderbilt character? Valuable? I was not in the know about Vandy at the time...until the first game he played with us. His first minutes with us were an eye-opener. I felt like we panned for some flecks of gold and came up with a huge chunk instead...I still think Rodman is the best comparison. HOW did Utah not know how massive his talents were? 'Cuz he had no offensive game? Big deal. I still think his offense will improve. Young guys have so many miles on 'em by the time they get to the NBA. What an effing shame he's gonna miss so much more time. As a very olde-timer, great defense gives me wood, figuratively speaking, NGL. What a loss. Get well ASAP, Vando!
i knew a little about him when we got him and was thrilled because he brought some caruso stuff to the table. and he did. sucks that he'll basically miss the year. cam does an ok (but not complete) job filling in for vando at times, but he's also been hurt for large chunks. we just don't have athletic hustle guys, and it shows. on many, many nights.
Kinda figured that when it happened. He seemed to know it was serious. Get healed up soon young man! Salute
Incredibly sad: especially bitter considering it happened during his probably best stretch of his career
Did he have the heel issue in just one foot, and if so was this the same one? Would have to wonder then if it was connected?
I’m already bummed because he’s my second favorite player on the team and he’s already missed too many games.
We don't know. The only thing we know is that it is officially called "significant foot injury" and that the Lakers & Vando are now consulting with several specialists about how to proceed.
