Are we using him worst than last year on offense? He's averaging 0.9 points on 18%. I can understand him getting schemed out in a playoff series but during the regular season last year he put up 7ppg on 53% albeit in 10 more minutes a game. How has his offense fallen off so much? If he's still hurt sit him.
I think he's still hampered by the foot. It's pretty obvious when he was grabbing at his heel the other night, and Ham mentions it. But like everyone else these guys hate being out and want to play and contribute, plus we've been missing him. Look at the effort AD has put into staying on the floor all this time since the trade deadline last season, through some nasty nagging crap and the ankle roll, which got re-aggravated, for the same reasons and it just gets blown off here the first game he scores "only" 15-18 points .... or picks up another s*** happens injury that does keep him out for more than a game.
he's getting 1-3 attempts a game. we're not using him at all. more telling is that he's not getting any breakaway buckets, which might mean he's playing hurt, as others have suggested. and i don't get why we'd bother. rui and prince and lebron are out there. we can play differently and survive and wait for the real vando to return. and not tank the back end of his contract trying to win december games that clearly nobody else cares about.
Yeah..if he's not right, he doesn't need to play. He can't be traded at all this season, so it's not about trying to prove anything, Im not sure why he or the team, feel like he must be out there right now.
i actually think he's just trying to honor the contract and affirm the team's belief in him. but if he's really still hurt, this does neither him nor the team any good. the team needs to shut it down. you can press him into service if lebron and/or rui go down again. i'm one of the very few who thinks vando really elevates the team, but not if he's not 100%.
He's starting tonight, it might be a Javale type nominal thing. I guess his minutes will shed some light on it, but I'm a bit confused, as to why we would play him hurt.
i didn't realize gabe was basically declared out for the season. i think ham knows he's losing tonight's game and wants to start exploring what life without a pg looks like.
man...both him and prince when they started experiencing random unexplained knee swelling...that's doom. like PG broke his leg in half, but you could see what caused it, and you knew how to fix it. this stuff is different. in fairness, vincent didn't have pre-existing injury issues. that said, that's nunn AND vincent, so i'm wondering if miami's regimen might push guys past where they can go.
I’m not reading out for season from an alleged 6-8 recovery time from whatever they think they need to do in there. Could be back in Feb? I know …. cue the jokes.
i have very little faith that he's returning this year. again, these injuries that basically occur for no reason are often the worst ones.
maybe still hurt but his lack of any shooting stills isnt conducive for team success as a starter (still lost 1st qtr last 2 gm with this lineup)....
i intentionally missed most of today's game but i was able to watch the okc game, and vando's influence was huge, despite the box score.
