some good points. i agree that we get teams' best shot, and that explains some of the puzzling losses/close games. fans always talk about it, but it was interesting to hear a player say it so plainly--we think detroit sucks, and that's why we lost (basically). also interesting to hear his comments on appreciating lebron and the reference to kobe because wasn't dudley a kobe hater during parts of his career? feel like i remember him running his mouth a bit. lesson learned. anyway, i wonder if they end up waiving him to make room for buyouts and just keeping him around like they did cousins last year.
I imagine that stemmed from the Suns locker room mentality against us. Starting with Tinker Bell and MDA and the trickle down from that. Unless we can waive him and convert him into coaching spot, I don't think it's worth losing him for a FA. Bron and AD love having him around, he's big in the locker room, coaching up Trezz or others every timeout, and is the leader of the cheer squad on the bench. If we had last year's group, we could afford to lose him. But without D12, McGee, and especially Rondo; I don't think we can afford to lose the vet leadership.
I think Dudz is right. Love his coaching from the bench and locker room. And I like seeing McKinnie out there getting his minutes.
Other Lakers fans in other discussions have said to waive or trade Dudley for the spot but that shouldn't even be up for discussion. If the Lakers even paid Dudley $7 million per year, I wouldn't even be that upset. What he brings to the team by constantly being the bridge between a coach and a player is super valuable. I would love if Dudley did retire and joined the Lakers as some sort of front office role, though. I think he would be amazing working alongside Rob. He'll still be with the team as well...
The only thing I don't like in this video is how long it takes AD2 to gather and get his shot off. Kept thinking that Trez or even Howard would have been up to the basket much quicker. ?????
Yes. Yesterday I called for him along with all these pansies to stop coddling themselves, shoot up whatever's ailing them and get out there now.
How can he do that (ignoring my statement above ) so soon from MCL or ACL ... whichever it was? Doesn't it take a lot longer? Maybe just a partial tear?
This is from the article. This season, however, he has played in just 11 of the team’s 65 games due to a torn MCL in his knee. Dudley opted not to get surgery on this injury, likely because the severity of the injury didn’t warrant an operation and could be rehabbed. This left open the possibility of him returning to action during the 2020-21 season, while surgery would have closed that door.
I had ACL in mind with him as well and there would be no way he would be playing allready. I guess MCL does heal faster. Fine by me, we can use everyone we can get right now.
