JHS was not the FOs or Scouts choice, their target was taken earlier than expected, probably by Dallas or Orlando.
I sure wondered as mentioned when I saw his footage and SL action knowing we passed on him. But again a SF or maybe(?) big SG .... and we wanted a quality PG who could play D for going forward. A position we were going to be short on this year, with a LOT of bigger wings on the roster.
It’s tough after catching Nunn’s nearly fatal bone bruise from the practice locker room. No telling how much further along he’d have been by now.
There’s probably some kind of radio active bull crap happening where point guard lockers are located. It’s insane to attribute this lack of healing to coincidence
or...and hear me out on this... jaquez actually isn't that great and people like to pick odd single stats and blow them up?
Yeah it was a “safe” pick whatever you want to call it. But boy… he sucks. This pill would also be easier to swallow if he showed an ability to excel at Indy, but I see/saw nothing within that realm. A rare F IMO for the scouting dept here. I hope next year they simply just go for the next best available player. In JHS’s defense, this draft class early on doesn’t look very good.
