I only have showtime lakers posters mostly of Magic still in my childhood room walls. I don’t collect mediocre players poster
We could really use some health. Hope these guys are all back on the mend - that is JHS, Vando and Vincent.
in fairness, i personally didn't tout jaquez pre-draft, but i did want podziemski... the herbivore has some ground to cover.
After the draft and some of the criticism here I looked at some footage of Jaquez and was like damn he looks pretty much ready now and is bigger. But like Cam God he’s not a position of need currently …. as a SF. A big defense playing PG with skills already at 19 still makes more sense, especially figuring correctly @KareemtheGreat33 would hate Podziemski.
Yeah I'm a big fan of Podz, have been rocking that boat since preseason. He should start flourishing now. This draft was LOADED Thompson brothers, especially Ausar, Jalen Johnson, Podz, Jaquez and Scoot have impressed me. Scoot hasn't flourished yet but I think he'll be another Ja. Hawkins, Lively and Sasser look nice too. Miller is the one who I still need to be convinced, based on the hype.
Not even a mention of JHS or needing to be “convinced”? Should it be assumed you have already written him off as a complete failure of a pick? With the track record of our scouts the past 8 years? Or that’s not where you’re at with him?
I didn't mentioned many like Wallace, George, the Magic guys etc so the post wouldn't be long as those are still question marks, like JHS. I really didn't like JHS so far anyway but he does have the frame of a NBA player, so maybe it clicks for him later. He should have some opportunities down the line so let's see how he responds. But if I had to bet, I see him as part of a package in the next big trade we do
i didn't like jhs at all pre-draft. when he was mocked top 10, i was like "good, that means someone better is falling". i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because our scouts have missed like, twice, in the last decade. but in truth, most of the guys i wanted were gone by 17.
