    BUST.

The next 3 guys after him will haunt us until the end of our days...jaime, podz, and whitmore (I know he hasn't played much but he woulda been a fantastic pick for us still and wouldn't be injured half the time)

I can't believe we completely WASTED this pick and it's basically got no value at this point...JHS is far from even a prospect...he might be out of the league in 2 years. That's how much I don't believe in him and how BADLY we fumbled this pick

Anybody that thinks "oh he's gonna be good next year or 2 yrs from now he's young" blah blah blah

That ain't happening. The guy SUCKS - not ever gonna be anything to write home about and if the Lakers are smart, they will dump him in a trade at the deadline to match salaries because that's all he's going to be for us - trade fodder that some other team might take a flier on in a trade cuz he's got "size" as a guard.

    6'6 but plays like he's 5'10.

Welp ….that’s your opinion. Based on waay too little information, and considering the scouting department’s success over the last 8 years, to put such a definitive and severely negative cap on his career at 20 years old …. in my opinion. ;) And the fact he was the no joke Big 10 conference freshman / (rookie?) of the year at 19.

His handle is pretty impressive I think as a rookie coming in. Seems like he’ll be able to get where he wants whenever. Head is always up.

just watched the last 7 minutes so i could witness the suckitude... he had a couple good looks roll out on him. hard to evaluate the defense because we were in some half-assed zone for parts of it, but he made a nice steal cutting off a pocket pass (they may have credited vando, as he ended up with the ball).

NOT comparing the two!! One was a number 2 pick and “One of these things is not like the other”. ;) But with all kinds of playing time and patience all of his rookie year …. didn’t BI shoot like a clanker pretty much the whole year? When JH’s shots start going in at a decent enough % with some actual playing time at some point whenever and “wherever” if traded, and my bet is they will ….. added to what his strengths will turn out to be, the conversation is going to change on his bust of a career or non career in the NBA.

his shot's not pretty; it's likely never to be very good. but he can definitely get to passable, as many players have done. and he'll still be very large for his position and a very capable ball handler and passer.

he's not getting the chance to go out there and fail (and learn from it) like many young guys get. so it will take some time. those shots he missed didn't look bad at all.

Don’t know if you caught it but he swished the first mid range one he dribbled himself into position to shoot. These guys like him and even more so Castleton, I believe, have a deeper bag of what they’re “capable” of doing offensively. But they get into a game in limited minutes with a quick hook unless it’s garbage time and even then ….. are afraid to deviate from some really conservative role expected of them. So mostly they try to do just that and tend to overdo looking for the right play and pass to make for OTHERS. As opposed to on a crappy team with playing time or a good team with a need to play a well performing rookie (with a coach “willing” to do it in the first place). Those guys much more get to go out there and show off more of their talents that made them stars in HS and college. As I mentioned above, in the entire major Big 10 conference there had to be reasons that out of all those kids coming in highly recruited, that JHS was chosen Freshman of the Year. Same thing with Max. I’m sure his offensive Bag is much bigger than what he feels he’s allowed to try to do at this level without getting yanked.

you're preaching to the choir. and ALL these guys have a deeper bag. hell, shaq probably shot threes as well as i did in practice.

what i'll say for jhs is that he's got a few things you can't teach, and i'm guessing that's what the scouts saw.

he doesn't have to be an off the dribble three point threat to be a useful nba player. i think people get too wrapped up in limitations. they exist. it's ok. jokic will never poster dunk anyone (on his way to multiple mvps and rings).

His handle has me dazzled and scared at the same time. It gets what seems pretty high speed and radical with the distance he moves the ball. Frightened because it looks like a lot of possibility to lose the handle and turn it over. But wow I think he may already have that like he's got glue on his hands. And it just seems different... there's more velocity in how he moves the ball if I'm making any sense. And the head is up. It's impressive to me.
