why is he still with the team? so he can get 2 minutes of garbage time every third game? in what way is this helping him develop?

 

I think if there’s no G-League games scheduled he just suits up and is available with the varsity. No mystery. Short one day trip to Utah.

 

yeah, but i assume that the g-league team practices and stuff, right? because i'm pretty sure we barely do.

i don't know; we don't have a great track record developing players. we have a good record of identifying guys, but not necessarily in helping them reach their full potential. my armchair observations here aren't positive.

 

No idea how much either team practices.

 

Podzemiksiiiisvili (however the hell you spell his name) is pretty darn good and he torched JHS in summer league.
Are head to head workouts still a thing in the draft process? I just don't see JHS standing out against a guy like him from what I've seen this year

I forgot that even his own teammate from college taken way late in the 2nd round is a lot better than JHS.

his shot's super weird. i'm still most interested in whether he can become a strong defender. if he can, he's good enough dribbling and passing that the shot can just be a bonus.

Maybe he can turn into a poor man’s D Fish? I’m not expecting his shot to be as effective as Fishs’ three ball, but he has the body type to be a similar bulldog on D.

 

Feeling you .... except with the disclaimer .... when Fish was talked about with regard to his defense here and on Clublakers prior to that, it typically was not with complimentary comments.
