?

How do you feel about a potential Finals matchup with the Nets assuming both teams are healthy?

  1. Very confident, the Nets won’t be able to matchup with our front line.

Yes, and I worry a lot about KD's health... He's getting injured every other game which means a hard bump from Drummond could potentially end KD's season. If I am the Nets, I would be very worried about that. When 100% healthy, they are one of the scariest teams out there even with a lack of center. But if KD is out, they are not beating Miami, Bucks, Philly, or Boston.

Basketball gods are having their say with this team

I'd love to see them limp into the first round and get knocked because they don't have stars who can suit up. If they don't have their guys and face the Heat (2 vs. 7), Butler will send them packing.

I also posted this in the sticky thread. Harden was never brittle, but then... hamstring injuries can linger on, he's going to be 32 in a couple of months and he's not exactly lightweight. Now, I don't wish injury on anyone... but those NJ stars are definitely injury prone and aren't even particularly tough from a mental standpoint. I don't think they'll make it to the finals this year. Maybe next year if the stars align for them.

    they can't stay healthy

very unlikely the Nets have all big 3 back for the playoffs, unless they all play carrying injuries

I think this threat has been overstated and at this point I'm really not even sure if they'll win the East.

It's all BS (same with KD). They just DGAF about the regular season.

I think Harden does because he cares so much about regular season stats and looking for that validation that he belongs in the conversation (which he doesn't).

KD doesn't care about regular season or image. If he cared about image, he would've never hopped in to the most talented starting group in NBA history.

Nets are like the Clippers of last season, trying to game manage their way into the playoffs, then flip the switch. I don't like that tactic, because your team needs to be tough in the playoffs when they do face adversity.

NBA players are slowly becoming the biggest bunch of (bleep) in sports. Used to be soccer by a mile, baseball always had a soft label for most of the players, but the NBA not only are softer than wet tissue, their egos control the league which gets coaches fired left and right and team chemistry in the toilet.

Now that our season is done, I feel more comfortable in honestly engaging in this conversation.

We'll see how things play out ... but it is very feasible that it turns out that this whole season was just a sham because nobody ends up being able to compete with the firepower of KD, Kyrie, and Harden together.

In which case, yeah sign me up for a first round exit over limping our way to a Finals domination.

easy title for the Nets, their bad matchup teams all have injured players and teams like the Jazz dont have enough experience.

yep, it's set up to be a cakewalk for them. and no, in our current state, i'm guessing we probably wouldn't have beaten them. i don't think AD was going to make it all the way through the playoffs even if we got by phx.

I don't feel good about it right now. :)

Seriously now, hopefully someone can beat them this year, we'll see.

I think the Nets are going to win. Just don’t see anyone stopping them especially with Embid hurt.
