Went and looked at what the James Harden trade turned into after this. Went from.... This - Kevin Martin / Jeremy Lamb / 2 1st round picks / 2nd round pick To this - Steven Adams / Alex Abrines / Mitch McGary EL OH EFFING EL I hate James Harden, but OKC screwed the pooch so hard on this one. Hahahahaha.
Has Lamb been that bad? For the contract of Barnes, he won't even be on the roster? Dang? Salary cap move?
Yes, so they can sign Enes Kanter Adrian Wojnarowski ✔ @WojYahooNBA Sources: OKC engaged on fronts trying to unload a contract to solidify ability to keep Enes Kanter, Kyle Singler in restricted free agency.
Lamb has been pure garbage, Weez. Not a good defender, inconsistent shooter, unable to create. Just not a good player... @Doc Brown my favorite part is that everyone always says "oh they had to let him or Ibaka go" but that's wrong. They chose not to amnesty Perkins because the owner was too cheap. In reality if the owner absorbs Perkins' salary, they had more than enough room to keep Harden AND Ibaka along with Westbrook and Durant. Everyone gives them a ton of credit, but they've been incredibly fortunate in the draft.
assuming they had to let him or ibaka go, I called it at the time of ibaka's signing: he's the one you let go. and I hate harden about as much as one can hate an nba player who has not assaulted a family member.
Yep. That owner is one cheap bastard. I can see Durant and RW going out the same way. Lakers would have done what was necessary to keep all the goods and make it work. I'd still be pissed if I was an OKC fan.
Small market teams will small market things up. Durant and Westbrook have to keep that in mind. They'll see what happens as they approach the end of these contracts. I could see them leaving because they realized OKC will never pay for a champion.
OKC is clueless ... Kanter can put up nice offensive numbers but he's TERRIBLE on defense . I always said the only way KD will stay in OKC is by winning a title before his current contract is up ... well one season left .. Westbrook will leave the season after ...
I guess they changed their minds lol. I think Barnes is serviceable so he's a good pick up for Memphis.
Okay so... Ridnour goes to Memphis via Orlando... Barnes goes to Charlotte via LAC... Barnes goes to OKC via Charlotte... Lamb goes to Charlotte via OKC... Barnes doesn't go to OKC via Memphis... Lamb doesn't go to Charlotte via OKC... Lamb goes to Charlotte via OKC... Barnes goes to Memphis via Charlotte... How did Ridnour end up in Charlotte to be traded for Lamb?? I thought he was in Memphis after a trade with Orlando?...
When it comes to teams, Barnes is not near Chucky Brown level but still a sizable number. Him ending up with Memphis is a good fit.
If Barnes is with Memphis now. That would the games against the clippers even more interesting since there not very fond of each other. Curious to see what Barnes will do in those games
Ridnour still in The League? He can shoot, has good handles and makes good decisions with the ball...even if he's 63 years old or something. OKC was high on Lamb...now he's not even on the team. Whoever scouted him for management should be applying for a job at a local Starbucks.
