I'm good with this. I would have preferred Lue WITH Vogel as assistant as it could have been the best of both worlds - a good offensive coach who won before with Lebron teamed with a great defensive coach. But it seems that didn't work out unfortunately.

Only yapping is from the media scum about who's running everything. There has not been one confirmation from the Lakers on who's running what. That same media for a week said Ty Lue was gonna be the next coach.

The media know as much as the r******* dog next door. And posting trash from the Nick Wright's and SAS of the world does nothing but add more uselessness to this whole process. Those two clowns are exactly that. Clowns they put on TV to entertain you not inform you of anything.

yeah, i loved what he did in indy, but that seems like forever ago--it's when roy hibbert wasn't a ridiculous notion.

can't believe kidd is still involved in any way.

really just can't believe any of it. and i wasn't a lue fan, but you can find me in this thread defending the general process that we'd been working to get the new coach.

    and then this...

we're the knicks. definitely the knicks.

While I'm not in 100% agreement with how OX is saying this, I am actually in agreement with the gist of the post. The fact is the media has been shut out by the Lakers brass and they have been filling the vacuum with all kinds of nonsense and speculation since then. It's obvious that they are taking every opportunity to bash us in retaliation as one can easily see. That's not conspiracy theory, that's just what is happening.

Personally I wish the Lakers hadn't done it because then this is the result. Speculative babbling. If you refuse to talk other people will do so for you and it may not represent the truth.

Ultimately no one knows exactly what went wrong with the Lue negotiation or even if it got very far into the discussion phase. I did want Lue as coach but I'm not blaming the FO yet based on a bunch of speculation. Maybe he wanted too much money, too many years, who knows? Nobody but the Lakers and Lue.

Now if we end up with Kidd as head coach I will be pissed. That would irritate me. But it sounds like we are continuing the search and Vogel is a decent candidate.

I have no idea what's going on with that. Not sure why we are suppose to kiss the feet of Monty Williams all of a sudden. What makes him a great coach?

Thing is a strong leader could have stepped in here at any point, calmed down the fam base and shut the door on conspiracy angles from the media. They could lay out a true vision. It’s clear we don’t have anything close to that. We haven’t heard a peep from anyone.

Are some of the reports Laker hate and piling on for clicks and views? Yes.

Are ALL of these reports due to that? No. I just don’t think so.

The front office has done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt from fans.

Who from the Lakers said they are? All this crap is coming from "my sources say" in the media. Where's the proof? Does society care about proof anymore?

This s*** right here is infuriating? Why is having a former Laker like this on staff always a requirement? A spy for Jeanie? He can’t get paid to do some other bs made up job to make Linda happy? What does Kurt bring to a staff, everywhere he’s been he’s been a loser except when he was here under Phil Jackson and Kobe. This s*** is f****** unbelievable as the Jason Kidd stuff is. You hire a coach, you let him pick his staff, our org is run by complete morons and/or power-hungry snakes. And if we offer Vogel or someone else a 5 year deal after refusing to give it to Lue, my faith in this team will be swirling the drain.

Hahahhahahahahah. That picture of Rambis with a domineering look and fierceness. With the usage of the word POWER and assembled. Man, manipulation 101 of writing.

You all may be fooled. I'm not. After the Paul George debacle, never again.

I am amazed at why you guys are surprised.

This has been the way this org. operated ever since the death of the doctor.

I stand by my "Dr. Buss curse" claim.

Linda is the basketball executive we deserve, but not the one we need.
