concerns me that utah moved him because vando at 5 didn't work and jj is also trying vando at 5. i'm hoping it's just because hayes is our only playable 5 right now.
3rd quarters are on the coaching staff? What is happening in half time where the Lakers keep getting smoked once the break is over.
I feel it says a lot about the time fitness, we still can't put a 48 minutes performance together. For Bron and DFS I get the age thing but the rest have no excuse for not been fit.
wish i'd seen the first half in this one. but it's hard to imagine that it wasn't just shot making. we gave them great looks, and they knocked most of them down (this is the laker effect; they'll shank a few of those and lose to charlotte next week or something). but yeah, in some games, it's seemed like a scheme change we didn't anticipate, and maybe it was here, too.
This guy is our coach. Love it. I always enjoy listening to postgame interviews after every win lol. Especially Luka and Coach JJ.
he's right that we mostly got good looks in the second half and guys just didn't knock them down. those are shots that when the opposition gets them, i'm like "you can't give that up" and when we get them i'm like "oh god he's going to shank an open shot again". thankfully, rui hit those two, though. same with the drives, btw. we didn't convert a few of those, either. jj can't make these shots for us. and he's not wrong that a) indy's good and b) carlisle had a good game plan that they executed pretty well (at least in the second half). i wasn't super impressed with indy's defense, though.
Cannot wait to see/hear what coach has to say about this game, especially the LeBron stupid arse moments.
you can't really criticize lebron. and it's not like lebron doesn't know it. it also takes a bunch of folks letting go of the rope for a team to lose like that. and tbh, the same basic thing happened the night before in indy, we just got lucky instead of them. what jj needs to answer for is the teamwide tendency to do this, night in and night out.
So ridiculous. Glad JJ put some numbers and context to the absurdity of the healing power playing vs the Lakers gives players.
JJ Redick called a big 3 meeting after the Chicago collapse https://www.essentiallysports.com/n...after-questions-on-locker-room-trust-emerged/
Woike's article is well worth the read on JJ, the loss, the community and a retelling from the day of. If you don't care about the human interest piece to this and/or hate JJ, there's still a very significant Lakers related quote coming out of that one... Sign me up!
Articles about articles...that's sort of like playing the game telephone with a deaf person. That one is pulling all of the quotes from Buha's piece:
