You absolutely did. Dennis was dribbling in circles and Beas was leading fastbreaks. The problem isn't the lineup by itself, although it's super-dumb, it's that we also don't have any schemes, so Dennis as the free-wheeling PG for that group is a recipe for disaster.
At least two of the "big 4 " have to be on the floor during 48 minutes Ham already couldn't stagger AD and Bron minutes before the trade deadline , now he does this nonsense
I definitely think Ham has to stagger the line up better. I also think the bench just flat out has to play better.
Agreed. The bad rotations were definitely highlighted by extra bad bench play. What I like about our team is that when we are even relatively healthy they can overcome some growing pains by the coach. I'm just hoping he can see that instead of thinking, "Hey we won the game so it must of worked" mentality. Even when you win games you should learn and make adjustments. Our playoff run will be dependent upon the two H's. Health and Ham. Ham is learning and doing better so I do like that but some of these mistakes are not something even a rookie coach should be making. We catch some hot shooting at the right time I still think we are celebrating in June.
the coach is testing all of his pieces before the playoffs, genius level move We still won despite the strange lineups and lineup substitutions. Once the playoffs start, we'll see a whole different level of consistency, but he's leaving nothing on the table trying out the various combinations. Kudos to Ham. That takes real balls to do with the playoffs on the line.
You're right, but I never want to see this lineup out there again, regardless of schemes. It's terrible. No real playmakers, just Schroder, which makes Beasley near useless. Almost the same on offense with Brown, so you just get a lot of mediocre shots from Schroder and Rui. And I like Gabriel, but he's not a 5. This unit just flat out sucks.
I’ve come round to feeling now a lot of the hate from a few is over the top. If Ham gets his rotations down ….. all else considered with Russ here, the roster he had and the lousy injury luck we had for the first two thirds of the season ….. he has done pretty well and is getting better. Love the new starting lineup and it is going to pay big dividends going forward.
Ham doesn't get the credit for the starting lineup, what's up with revisionist history? He was literally forced into it by: 1. Pelinka trading his midgets away and bringing in a starting PG he has to play 2. AR playing out of his mind 3. Malik playing like crap Otherwise we'd still be rolling some of those 3-guard lineups that do not include AR and feature Bron at C.
I feel like he’s pulling all the right strings. Like watching a mad scientist at work. It’s humbling to be in the presence of such greatness before they are well known.
Doesn’t know when to play Malik, who is hot sizzling like Sasha out there. Then the challenge… man, please get it together.
Very encouraging that Coach Ham is learning from past mistakes and making good adjustments. I like him again. At least till next game...lol.
