Another sad day for our country. I don’t have the solution to this, I just want to see it end. I know the hate between all our politicians, on both sides, is only causing more divide and anger among the people, and IMO clearly giving people like the shooter today the little push they needed to go over the edge.

El Paso, TX born and raised. Our city is still in shock right now, so many people affected by someone filled with so much hate for a particular race. 21 dead so far, praying that the # no longer rises. I've reached out on all of my other social media forums asking for prayers, so now i'll reach out to my Laker Nation, pray for those affected in the El Paso massacre, those affected in Dayton and Chicago, and pray that some how some way Love can start to replace hate.

Prayers & love to you and your entire community. There aren't sufficient words to illustrate how much we all are hurting for you.

This isn't directed at you, Weezy. I just hate everything about Twitter in the immediate aftermath of a tragic mass shooting like this. All sides of the related political debates go to their respective bunkers and have grenades at the other side to score cheap points. It's nothing but purported moral superiority, anger, and further division.

Really, at its core, how we all feel about this issue comes down to one simple truth: We ALL want none of these horrific mass shootings to take place. Period. For some reason, acknowledging this simple truth as a jumping off point to have a civil discussion about potential solutions is pretty much impossible. Going back to pretty much every political debate these days, it becomes pointless tribal BS that doesn't do a damn bit of good. It's so frustrating because there's a lack of meaning in a lot of people's lives these days, and whatever the reason is for it, that continues to manifest itself in this seething rage in people which results in these kinds of senseless tragedies.

It truly transcends political viewpoint, too. Extremists must be universally denounced, no matter their political party, skin tone, or whatever.

This is part of the BS in the immediate aftermath of these shootings that pisses me off. Every reasonable person agrees that even ONE mass shooting is too many. Yet, these dishonest hacks can't help but lie with BS false stats to inflate their numbers.

Go look at the "Mass Shootings" stats they're referencing. It lumps in stuff like a beebee gun being shot at a school bus in a parking lot. We have to use real data as the basis for a real conversation. That's not asking too much.

The Crime Prevention Research Center was founded by John Lott...so I wouldn't exactly cite that link as something reputable.

Who is John Lott? I have no idea who that is unfortunately. I don't base my research on who wrote what, founded what, or who is affiliated with what party/viewpoint. If I don't know something, I research both sides of the topic and end where it makes the most logical sense. I understand that issues can be fabricated to help one's viewpoint(s), but the facts from all the research I've done is that gun restrictions or even extreme parameters like taking innocent people's guns away have no correlation with mass shootings.

So a certain someone during his statement failed to call the shooters terrorists and instead blamed it on "mental illness" and video games...

I’m sorry, but yeah, I have to give a LMAO to blaming video games. What is this, 1994? Whoever gave Trump the advice to say that is a moron, it’s such a lame excuse to use. There’s been so much research on video games and real life violence over the decades, millions and millions of people play shooting games daily and hardly anyone shoots up a Walmart.

As for that tweet I shared, I apologize if the stats are incorrect, I double and triple checked the sources before posting it and saw those same statistics other places so I thought it was accurate. Fact still remains even if you take out a lot of those we still have it much worse here than other counties as far as mass shootings right now, and racism and whipping people into frenzies over protecting the border from invasion doesn’t help, it gives already sick people the little push they need.

Lol, to be fair Trump is not a politician. What's the excuse for the other career politicians to be dumb?

The video is 10 minutes longer than it should be, but still worth sharing with those who don't understand the process.
