There is no way KCP starts over Green.

Yeah a good defensive PG in the starting 5 is important next to Bron and A.D .

    Cook can't defend .

    I agree with your lineups

The PG spot matters less ,I would argue it's the least important in the NBA . All you need is one who can defend and knock open shots down.

Superstar wings, versatility on both ends and depth win championships

    Rondo
    Green
    James
    Davis
    Cousins

Rondo begins the season as the starter, but Caruso or Cook eventually take over the spot. Kuz doesn't start, but will play starter minutes and finish a lot of games in place of Boogie.

I think Kuzma needs to grow into that role.

But I also think most teams don't have more than 2 guys doing that. Clippers now do though...

I'd say Bradley at starting PG now!
Then Green, Lebron, AD, McGee or Boogie. We actually seem to have the luxury of a bench now and real depth. Rondo/Cook/Caruso at backup 1, KCP/Daniels at 2, Dudley/THT at 3, Kuz at 4, Boogie or McGee at 5. Plus we can go smallish ball lineup with Kuz at 4 and AD at 5. I'd love to have one more big body banger at backup 4 - maybe Williams could serve that role. And of course I'd love to pick up Iggy at the deadline for another great wing defender who can play spot minutes.

Adjusted now with the great news about Bradley.

Avery Bradley (20)/ Quinn Cook (20)/ Rajon Rondo or Alex Caruso (8)
Danny Green (30)/ Avery Bradley (8)/ Alex Caruso (10)
    LeBron James (30)/ Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (18)
Anthony Davis (18)/ Kyle Kuzma (30)
Boogie Cousins (28)/ Javale McGee (18)/ Anthony Davis (12)

Starting lineup now has rock solid defense at 4 spots, competent shooting at all 5 spots, and shot creators at 4 spots. We have defensive versatility now with Bradley where we can go Caruso, Bradley, Green, and Caldwell-Pope who I know people don't like but he's a young athletic guy who we can throw at opposing wings. We've got tremendous size and length inside with Cousins, McGee, and Davis.

Now on nights when we want to give LeBron a day off, we still have someone in Avery Bradley who is capable of running a pick and roll. This is a great, great pick up for us.

This team is so deep, I'm excited! Even if small injuries happen or load management. We can sustain due to our experience with vets as well.

Signing Iggy would be icing on the cake!

Only odd thing so far is no announcement of rondo being signed?

We need a little more size on the perimeter. Inam hoping Iggy is still in the fold.

I think Cousins' ability to threaten from the outside makes the LBJ/AD pick and roll 100% more dangerous. Putting McGee in there would clog that up.

    He was 2017 All defense.

He’s had bad breaks over the past couple seasons. Give him time with a good team, I think he can turn it back around. He’s a bulldog.

Nice problem to have when we argue who to start because of the quality

With this new addition I’d try

    Bradley
    Green
    James
    Davis
    Cousins

I was all for MCG starting before, but Cousins has better range and adds playmaking to compensate for those PG/SG spots. It’s close though. I still hope to see Caruso at both guard spots AND Pope strictly as a backup 3 now. Bron will play some 4, Dudley can too and Kuz/AD play PF as well, so we don’t need any more depth there. Davis will slide to the 5 here and there.

Man if we get Iggy down the season, we could finish with a lineup of:

    Bradley
    Green
    Iggy
    Lebron
    AD

    Monster two way lineup.

The all depth team has me about as excited as the big 3 team. If we somehow end up with Iggy, wow that’s 3 deep at every position, except center. This team is setup for regular season and playoffs. Not many teams can have two superstars and this kind of depth.

    - Bradley as the starting PG makes so much sense. Also this is our Josh Hart replacement.

    - Even without Iggy, Green/KCP/Kuz/Dudley/Lebron can all handle SF minutes (matchup based)

    - Our bench + back end of roster >>>>>> Whatever last year was

    Let’s get this season started.
