The Division is similar only in the sense of building a character and adding to a base. But game play is completely different, and all the missions can be played either solo or co-op. The co-op aspect is fantastic. There is also a Dark Zone where you can encounter rogue human players or help other human players.

Are you on Xbox One, Barns? If so, you need to get it so we can co-op.

Yeah, I'm on Xbox One. I do think I want it sometime soon, but I'm not 100% on it yet. I'll let you know if/when I get it though to co-op

I used to have TIME but I finally dumped it because a hacker that Microsoft could not stop kept stealing it. I agreed to perma-ban the account just so he could not have it.

I'm currently level 9 in The Division.

I couldn't be more disappointed with the current generation of consoles. Games must take forever to produce due to the increase in graphics power, so I get that, but man, my PS4 has been collecting dust for months. I can only play NBA 2K16 so much, and I don't give a crap about Call of Duty, Tom Clancy, or Assassin's Creed games, which is all they seem to make these days. I'm patiently waiting for Ratchet and Clank in April, Uncharted 4 and Mirror's Edge Catalyst in May, and The Last Guardian, Hot Shots Golf 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo 7, and a few more at SOME point, hopefully. Until then I continue to play PS3 and 360 games, and I've bought some old PS One games I hadn't played in years and still love, like Driver, NFL Blitz 2000, and Bust-A-Move 2. I won't be getting an Xbox One either, as I have nothing against it, but its lineup is nothing exciting to me either. I play it at my uncle's house, I've gotten my fill of Forza Horizon 2, and beaten Halo 5. I think unless some of these games to come blow me away, my favorite console generations have come and gone. I haven't gotten a tiny bit of the overal fun I got out of PSOne, 2 and 3 out of PS4.

Shadow of Mordor, Batman Arkham Knight, Infamous Second Son, Watch Dogs, Transistor, something Elysiam Dust(?), GTAV, Far Cry 4 are all games I've enjoyed on the PS4.

Don't like open world games very much, much more of a linear storyline fan, I'm oldschool, or "get off my lawn" that way. Also don't like open world racers if I have a choice, can't stand that's the way they've gone. Give me tracks, give me goals, let me do them in order. Give me Burnout Revenge over Paradise, give me Need for Speed Hot Pursuit over Rivals, give me old school Ridge Racer (4, 7, PSP). This next generation just might not be for me in the end except for some big titles I can't miss, too much big open world stuff, that's why the games I listed appeal to me, linear stories.

And looks like everything I listed are open world games. Have you tried Last of Us? Hard to go wrong with that one. Then there are all the episodic games from Telltale of those are your thing. There are also some very good indie games that can be worth a try.

Yup, Last of Us was a classic, I love Naughty Dog, I still play Crash Bandicoot 1-3 regularly, Jak and Daxter, and the only other game on PS4 I'm playing when I do use it is the Uncharted collection. That was last-gen though, and sadly a big problem I see in this gen is a good chunk of these new releases are re-released old games, remasters, whatever you wanna call it. I see it's happening with Resident Evil yet again. I believe my PS4 purchase will be worth it in a few years, it's just as of right now, there isn't much for a gamer like me.

While I'm on my soap box, you know what a I really hate, Infinity. God what a scam those games are, money making machine, I can't believe what people pay for those figurines to play a game they already payed for. Also, Destiny. You already paid for the game, you want to play more, pay more. I can't believe they close off sections of the game that used to be open when you originally bought it, that game is a complete rip-off and people sit back and take it, thus inspiring other game companies to follow that model. Sorry if I offended any Destiny fans, but you're the ones who paid like $150 to play the full game, which IMO isn't even that good to begin with. My uncle tried to get me into it and I just couldn't, it was so repetitive and pointless. I was like THIS is what these guys stopped making Halo to do?

Yeah this current gen is struggling when it comes to new awesome must play games. A lot of things are remakes/remasters that are really cash grabs of anything. And games that aren't of the remastered variety are short, unfulfilling or just testing of engines. The PS4 is still very young and I think this year's games are going to be the step forward it needs.

Agreed about Destiny. It is visually stunning and actually sort of fun but they have stumbled harder than the Lakers in every aspect of that game. A very thin story, hours and hours of grinding for equipment that all meant nothing when they released the expansion and forced you to rebuy the game.

It'd be easier to excuse the PS4 if it was fairly new, but it really isn't. It was released November 2013, well over 2 years ago. By this time into the PSOne, 2, and 3 we had some killer games already. They need to get on top of this already, they have a massive installed userbase already for a console this young, now we need the games. It can easily be said had I waited until today to buy a PS4 I wouldn't have really missed anything, and that's not good.

I didn't notice if you mentioned it, but if you haven't tried it, you really might like the Telltale games. The Walking Dead series and Wolf Among us games are great and linear like you say you prefer.

The Walking Dead Telltale series is pretty solid.

I've been waiting for Uncharted 4... I don't know what the hell is taking so long.

Waiting for this one too. Just saw it got pushed back from April 26th until May now. Irritating but not uncommon. I remember Gan Turismo 5 getting pushed back like 3 or 4 times before getting released.

Working on Arkham Knight at the moment. Solid game but so far Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are still better in my opinion. Hoping they remaster those since I done gave my PS3 away to my brother in law. But I do agree with Weezy, the lack of new content is disturbing. I did scope some new titles coming up, hopefully they'll be good.

Two Open world games that had me hooked... Fallout 4. I did alot in the game. Finished a lot of quests, finished the main one. And I'm currently playing the Witcher 3.. Wanna talk about quality open world game? The Witcher 3 is probably one of the best open world games I played. Its flipping amazing. Really strong characters and storylines. Even the side quests are interesting and fun to play.

Played the Ratchet and Clank demo at Target tonight, now I can't wait for that one. It's the same old same old as far as gameplay, but it's absolutely gorgeous and this is one of my favorite game series anyway, plus it's only $40 at release.

Watch Dogs was fun - and it had that thing TIME was explaining about rogue players. You can toggle on/off missions against others - they try to hack you, you have to find and stop (or kill) them. Was pretty fun.

I'm not really in a gaming mood. Maybe once summer hits and I have time, I'll start looking for a game. I expect y'all to deliver awesome recommendations.

Oh, I heard X Com 2 is out/will be out soon. I really enjoyed the first one. Anyone else play it?

One difference between first and second one is that basically all of the missions in 2 are timed in some way.

I will second the recommendations for Telltale Games. I loved Season 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead and am currently about to start the Michonne spin-off mini series. The Wolf Among Us and Game of Thrones were just as great (although GoT had a pretty underwhelming ending). I can't wait for Telltale's take on Batman which should be coming out next.

I just downloaded Bully on the PSN Store and am playing through that but I also need to finish up Fallout 4. Haven't played in over a month.

So I also just got a Playstation Vita, mainly for Remote Play. Been spending a lot of time in the garage and backyard lately to accompany my puppy, but browsing Reddit on my phone is getting boring so I'm really looking forward to being able to play Fallout 4 and NBA 2k16 on a handheld. As far as Vita games, there aren't too many exclusives that seem that enticing for me, but I picked up the Final Fantasy X HD Remaster and will probably use it to play some old PS1 and PSP games.
