PoE is okay. The depth, and gameplay mechanics are excellent. But, its a low budget game so it lacks a lot of polish of AAA games. It's like playing a very in depth game from 2004.
Polish? I am not sure what that means. Regardless - it is, without a doubt, 1 of the 3 best ARPG games ever, the other two being Diablo and Titan Quest. And Titan Quest sucked, visuals wise. Depth, customization level, amount of content, end game size - these all are superior to almost any other game I aware.
The depth, and customization are great but the gameplay feels very clunky. Like I said it feels like a game that came out in 2004 visually. Still impressive what that small team was able to create though.
Well, I think it might be you I've been around PoE for good 2+ years now, and this is the first time anyone complained about the gameplay. It is a function of your rig, though.
No its not me, I've talked a lot of people about it. I'm a big Diablo player (teamspeak, competitively, all that). PoE does a lot of things better than Diablo, but gameplay mechanics are not one of them. Its clunky and visually very dated. As far as my rig goes, I run a GTX 980Ti, on a 1440p 144hz gsync ips display. So, its not my rig. My gameplay is ultra smooth.
OK. Care to share what's an up-to-date ARPG would look like? FTR, I've played DII for 10 years, before moving on. Proud SPF member, though. P.S. If you are talking about D3 though, sorry, we won't find common ground , as D3 is an absolute piece of crap of a game, as far as hardcore (or even semi-hardcore) ARPGs go.
D3 is not D2. If you expected D2, then yes you'll be disappointed. Having said that, its gotten a lot better since release. It was crap at release, yes. But since expansion, its a very good game. And yes, I played D2 for years as well.
I played Tomb Raider for PS4 so I think there won't be anymore Tomb Raider games on that system, but it was really fun. It was like Uncharted grew up a little bit. Awesome to see a feminine character still be completely badass.
The sequel for that Tomb Raider is coming out towards the end of the year. It's already out for XBONE though.
Oh okay cool. I'll probably give the sequel a shot then later this year when it comes out. I didn't know timed exclusive was a thing...
I wish xcom 2 was on console too, loved the their other games but my PC isn't meant for gaming and can't run it.
I got it the day it came out and love it. You can really go crazy with the amount of detail and customization in the game as far as player/weapons stats which is what I love most about it. Its definitely without its weaknesses, but the feeling of always wanting to improve your character or work really hard to save up your funds for something special..... Or do I go heavy DPS and Skill Power, but where does that leave me with health? All these questions make the game a ton of fun because you can really go with so many options.
I'm playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag and it's been pretty fun. The only problem with games like this is I get completely obsessed with finishing it completely and so I have to do a million little things before it's completed and it takes a lot of time and energy away from other things. If it's possible to be addicted to video games I might be one of those guys.
Just let my friend borrow my gaming laptop to try to get him into gaming again. We'll see how it goes
I want the Division, but I'm still playing Fallout 4, and the games seem too similar for me to buy the Division before completing Fallout. I just bought Battlefleet Gothic for PC and haven't tried it yet, but it just came out, and it's spaceship fleet based combat. Looks beautiful
