Yes you should clear all of the region south of Limgrave at this point. Caelid is really a late game area but you can access it early. There is a leveling spot there if you want to level up faster. But just keep clearing up the left of the map above Stormveil.
I finished it. I'm Elden Blinged with the Elden Ring. Going to level a few times more then head into NG+.
Damn i bought Elden Ring but its in my backlog. Oddly on Warcraft 3 Reforged.... Just dropped $ on a new rig last year with a 3080 and I'm playing WC3 lol.. It be like that sometimes.
Finished NG+ skipping some of the content. May do a slow crawl NG++, and then wait for the DLC. My second time through I did Faith / Dex / Arcane with Rivers of Blood and it was too easy. That build destroys PVE.
Crazy to me how some of you beat Elden Ring so fast lol. I’m now like 65 hours in but still feel like I have so much content left. Although maybe some of that playtime is inflated because I did end up finding a good rune farming spot, so often when I get to like half of the runes I need to level up, I’ll just head over there and grind to the next level to avoid any risk of losing my runes. So I’m probably a bit overpowered now, especially with the Mimic Tear ashes. But still having a blast. So far have cleared the Raya Lucaria Academy, Volcano Manor, Radahn, probably some other big bosses I’m forgetting. On to the Leyendell Royal Capital next.
This feels like an entire world I'm completely out of touch with. With new AR and VR technology, it feels like an area I'll never make time for or catch up with. Everyone needs some downtime and entertainment outlets, and I used to enjoy the heck out of some games. Just seems like a past chapter now. A former life.
The AR/VR tech is still in it's infancy. If you think you have to get into that to get back into gaming, that's not the case. Elden Ring (the game we're talking about in this thread most recently) is just a plain old console or PC adventure game. And your time is better spent playing that than anything revolving around the Lakers other than this board.
In fact, I’d argue that Elden Ring is like a modernized version of some old school classic games like Castlevania, Metroid, etc. No fancy story that you have to be caught up on, you’re just kind of thrown into a fantasy world and get to explore/fight to your hearts content. The difficulty can be a big obstacle for someone who doesn’t game much, but I think it’s worth a shot. VR stuff is definitely cool, but it’s a LONG ways away (if ever) from becoming mainstream in gaming. If you’re looking for something to scratch the nostalgic itch you have from gaming in the past, can’t go wrong with picking up a Switch. Lots of ports/remasters of classic games, but even their newer first party games still have that same charm. Mario is always going to be Mario whether it’s a 2D side scroller or 3D pseudo-open world adventure.
Has anyone gotten into any good blockchain gaming? From an investment standpoint, I’m wondering if any of the platforms may be worth investing in during the crypto bear market. they make it sound like Ready Player One type of future is in the way, but hard to see it.
