Love this AD, DFS, Max, Knecht and Reaves Don't like Knecht with Milton in the other shift. We can only have one or other. Guess with Gabe back, this doesn't happen
the Cavs are a really well coached team, way better than us. Ball keeps moving and they always find the open shooter. Whoever said and there were many here that didn't want Kenny Atkinson because he was a retread. Please realize that was a massive screw-up.
The Cavs shot the 3 ball like prime Golden State and we were still in striking distance. Not too bad.
I'ze kinda dreading this game for weeks, but I thought we were okay, considering everything. Lakers 110, CLE 122. CLE and OKC, then BOS: best teams in the league this year. I suspect CLE is highly legit and could very well knock the Bags out in the East. I mean, I'd love to see it. For having two new guys we played pretty well. AR of late looking like he's way underpaid. What went right: We only had 8 turnovers the entire game. Hillbilly Kobe: 35/9/10 AD: 28/13/4 with 3 steals and 2 blocks. 40 year old action figure: 23/4/7 Dig DFS's defense! 2nd and 3rd Q D wasn't bad. What went wrong: We gave up 69 in the 1st and 4th. But it's the Cavs. A damned machine. DK: 0-5 from deep. Max 1-5 from there, but Cavs also defend the 3 pretty well. Must be nice. DK will get over his yips and knock down the 3s. Just gotta give it some time. Rui had a bad game but I think the Cavs did a good job on him. Cavs are just really good this year. Their chemistry is immaculate. They have size. They shoot the 3. Their D is really tight. They're well-coached. There isn't one jerkwad on their team that I can see. They're clean, fast, big, talented. Damn. 29-4 now. 'Nuff said.
The schedule is decent for the next 10 games. 7-3:would be a realistic goal. Max and Rui need to pick it up or they will be some shuffling coming in the starting 5.
Cavs remind me of the 2015 Warriors. Made the playoffs the last two years with a dynamic backcourt despite being held back by the coach’s slow pace of play and simplistic offense. New coach comes in and gets them playing much faster which suits their personnel. They’re damn good, I hope they take out the C Bags.
Even now but finally less so people are just handing another ring to the C Bags. Like every other team at least mostly everything has to go mostly very well for them all year. I don't watch other teams but yeah Cavs look great and play enjoyable basketball with really good players. We had so many great shots that didn't go down like they have on our hotter nights. Could have beaten them but you have to make the shots. We beat them good in the paint. What a stud Mitchell is. Knect will be at that level physically maybe next year. I've been calling him STUD since pre-season. If he had free rein "in game" to unleash all of his current offensive repertoire I'm sure we would be impressed with what HE feels he can pull off creating his own shots. That's huge balls of Reaves to push himself to new moves in games. Chance of turnovers and misses but he's always working to get better. I'm sure he's aware that now he's playing at all star level and wants to make it happen for the good of the team too. Undrafted. Home grown. He's different kinda with the headband on ......
Cavs have a far superior defense to ours and have better shooting as well. They are a complete team. We still have multiple areas to improve on.
I didn't predict anything, just said we beat Cleveland in the paint and got a bunch of good looks that didn't go down like they have on our hotter nights and talked about what studs DK will be and AR already is.
if anything, expectations seemed low? LT was happy with the showing in a loss? it's ok. i think people should enjoy the small moments. watching reaves be a sort of folk hero here is fun. try to enjoy it. you could be a fan of the charlotte hornets and be talking yourself into enjoying 55-loss seasons while rooting for bridges or something.
To quote a favorite, now-very-obscure thinker: "I have said what I have said; I have not said what I have not said."
…. well look at the guard competition and he’s only been on this great run for a limited number of games. The good thing is if he stays healthy no serious injuries … he’s now performing like an all star for the Lakers.
What Curry is doing there ? He just had 2 points game and 11 . It's not all Star numbers P.S.Jordan Poole it's just somebody's joke
Lakers 114; Blazers 106, @Crypt. Lakers go to 19-14 in the fight to stay out of the play-in. OKC knocked off Clips so now we're #6 in the West, 1/2 back of DAL and DEN. Kinda like last game: lax D in the 1st and 4th. Only gave up 44 in the 2nd and 3rd combined. Lakers up 13 to start the 4th. Lebron hit a shot with 9:45 left to put us up 15. I'm thinking: just get a few stops, trade baskets and we're good. But nooooo. From there Blazers whittled it down to nervous time with 2:30 left when Anfernee hits a 3. Lakers only up 3. Plenty of time to blow this game, dammit. At this point I realize this squad just doesn't put teams away. This game shouldn't have been this close, but hey! A win is a WIN. What went right: Lebron has his 3-ball stroke back: 7 for 10 from deep, 38/4/8 Jaxson is back! AR a bit cold, but 15/2/11: double digit dime game again! AD: sat out with his nagging foot problem. Koloko/Rui/Lebron/Jaxson did a good job on Ayton and their small forwards. But the boards were even 43-42 Lakers. Max Christie: still playing good D and now shooting well: 9 of 16 and 5 made 3s. I liked Koloko's mins tonight. What went wrong: Relaxed after going up 15 with 9:45 left to make us all on edge. I wish they wouldn't do that to us, but that's the way they roll this year. Rui had a 2nd straight not-good offensive game. DK: 0-3 from deep. The deep freeze continues. Laker bench from deep 1-11. DF-S and Shake still gettin' the feel of a new squad. Next up: Hawks in Crypto tomorrow. They get us on a BTB. I still don't know how they beat CLE twice already.
Tonight Curry 8-8 from deep and they beat the PHI by 34. 10 dimes too. 6 boards. His knees are on their way out, though. Career-long ankle injuries and now knees. I'm one of those who stopped watching the ASG a long-azzed time ago, when games started to be 192-184. Last year the East beat the West 211-186 and KAT had 50 for the losers. Pfffffft! I do watch the dunk competition and the 3-pointer stuff. But mostly I just want Laker players to not play much, so they get rested for the rest of the real games.
