Bad night for everyone on our team except Dlo. Gotta do better than that.

MIN scores a TKO against the Lakers in MIN. Lakers on a BTB on the road against a well-rested MIN team, exchanged punches and were only down on every scorecard by a few points until midway through the 3rd, when they took punch after punch. Bloodied, backed into a corner, they had their guards up but took punishing blows for the last 17 mins, uppercuts to the chin, left hooks that connected to the head, body blows, until the horn sounded, ending their misery, 109-80. The Lakers offense was offensive to Laker fans, only managing 36 points in the entire 2nd half. We expected a bloodbath. We got a bloodbath.

    What went wrong:
Lebron James needs a week off. He's been very bad over the past 4 games. He says it's "rhythm." What is he from 3 lately? 0 for 19? He had a long road to hoe just managing to keep that (overrated?) consecutive double-digits streak going. Lebron James is having a rough time making layups, passing, you name it. He was credited with 6 turnovers, but it felt like 16 to me.

No one could shoot (except D-Lo!). I've lost all confidence in Gabe from outside, and now assume his hot streak for MIA in the Finals was a fluke. And I thought Max Christie could shoot from outside, but after seeing him go 1-7 from deep, I'm wondering. DK was 0-5 from deep, and for him, I assume it's all psychological.

AD: 4 for 14, looked like the kid who gets picked on on the playground. He said after the game that it was "disgusting."

“Sometimes we look like a team that can compete with anyone and sometimes we look like a team that looks terrible and is not going to do anything this season,” Davis said. (source)

Gonna have to agree with ya 100%, there, AD.

In retrospect, we should've sent a message to the NBA: you keep giving us BTBs on the road, and we'll sit AD and Lebron for 48 mins each. I mean, Lebron shouldn't have played this game. Rarely have any of us who've watched him his entire career seen Lebron look so bad in almost all facets of the game. Sorry, but it's true. After the loss JJ told the press he wasn't sure if the Lebron's goal of playing in all 82 was in the best interests of both Lebron and the team. Lebron's comment was "That's a goal, but, we'll see," James said. "It's something I ain't discussing right now."

"It's everything," James said when asked what is frustrating him about his game at the moment. "It's the rhythm. I just feel off rhythm the last few, three or four games." (source)

    What went right:
Imagine how badly this could have gone without D-Lo. A week ago I would've never imagined typing that previous sentence. 8 for 12, 20/3/5. So he had 1/4 of all of our points. Brutal!

What went right: Maxwell Lewis looked okay in his garbage mins.

Hoooo boy. This is gonna be a looooong season.

    Disgusting.

Morale is rock bottom for absolutely no reason. Absolutely no interest in competing. The team gave up.

No fire or competitive spirit at all from these guys.

I’m not looking forward to a rebuild at all but it’s time to blow this up.

I’ve complained about the roster plenty, and those complaints remain for me, bringing back the same roster minus Prince and Dinwiddie, relying on a rookie to replace that production, being razor thin on the margins leaving us zero room for error, all this was predictable. That said, there isn’t any excuse to just quit, you still have to be professional, Anthony Davis going out there and playing like he did is inexcusable. If the foot is that bad have surgery on it, playing like this is the same as not playing at all pretty much.

Nope. Players owned this one and said it's on them. Bron is old and tired, probably not healthy. AD is hurt. AR is out. DLO is DLO. Knecht hit the rookie wall at Lamborghini speeds. Roster sucks. We knew it sucked. Rob did jack s***. Goal this season was not to drown before a trade. Guys are taking a blueish coloration from those waters. It's rough. 10 days to go. Check for a pulse.
