The Bad: Vando flop call: absolutely ludicrous IMO. Lebron 3 - how did they call it a 2 in the first place AR - needs to better PG "play" with DLo and blank Vando missing the layup in with 45 seconds to cut it 2 was brutal The Good AD Defense was solid Offensive rebounding was better Liked some new lineups: Wood/Rui/Vando/AR/Lebron was interesting.
Bueno: AD on both ends dominating Malo: Hamster isn’t smart enough to run multiple plays for AD in the fourth when the team can’t make a bucket No-Show-DLO can’t have a good game against his former team, like every other player in the NBA does Awful defending of the 3 point line Basura: The officiating, again
Lakers lose in MIN by 2 points; the game where tying Lebron's 3 was ruled a 2 with 3.3 secs left: We played the current best team in the West to the finish. Dog fight (pun!). If If If: Bron's foot is back another 1/8"... If If If...Vando is able to dunk it with 44 secs left... If If If...D-Lo and AR hit shots from outside like we know they can...We were 7 of 24 from 3. The lack of consistent 3PG% is our Groundhog Day nightmare. From Associated Press writeup: “We had some guys that had some great looks, looks they normally knock down that they didn't knock down,” Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham said. Yea: "some guys" would be: Taurean 3 of 9 Cam 2 of 7 Rui 2 of 8 D-Lo 1 of 4 AR 2 of 11 and 0 for 5 from deep. I mean: MIN's D is very good. But not that good. MIN got lucky...is my takeaway from this game. And the officials didn't do us any favors... AD was fantastic. Birthday Man was sick and still showed up, almost tied it for us and maybe send it to OT. Ahhh...well. Ya'll have a fun and SAFE NYE. (BTB in Big Easy! Fuuun!) We have a lot of home cooking in January.
The good: AD monster game. We went head to head with the best team in the West on their court. Bad: we lost. The refs for not calling a foul for Lebron getting hit on the head driving to the hole and for calling his three a two. Asinine!
Rough BTB. We beat 'em the first meeting by 44 or something. Herb Jones and CJ were 8 for 11 from 3 late in the 1st half. We gave up what? 74 in the first half? Not having Cam was one thing, but the team just wasn't up to the defensive intensity. They clobbered us on the boards 47-35. With 3 mins left we take a TO down 12. Needed to go on a 10-0 run to maybe win it; instead Pels went on a 10-0 run and that was all she wrote. Back home for LOTS of home games in the New Year. We are a .500 team now. Yikes! Party hard but smart! If you end up in the ER, you did it wrong.
The good: nothing. The bad: everything. Total crap show. How do you not show up when they don't even have Jimmy Buckets?
Good -AD and Austin -Max's dunk Bad -U-G-L-Y game. It's like watching a lottery team from 1997. -4/30 from 3 - Bron didn't have it - TP just billed us for letting him hop on the treadmill - Cam and Vando gave us nothing either. -1000 first half turnovers (didn't check that number, just going off the eye test on that one) - JHS should've been subbed for a fan - vibes look bad - lost to the Heat’s role players and Bam
The vaunted scouting department is going to take a ding this season. Our two rookies are unplayable. Or Handy has been slipping this season so far.
Lakers - 22 TO, Miami scored 22 points from them. Lakers three-point percentage - 13% (worst of the season And Pimple head didn't react to zone D .In a bubble Vogel destroyed this D
I'm ok giving them time to develop. Going super young when you have title aspirations is an interesting combo. They need to be tucked away in GLeague getting reps, and not having the confidence shattered when they aren't ready for the big leagues. I don't get the point of that.
Who is supposed to hit those 3's? Lebron, Austin and Max? They damn sure had a lot of good looks. They shot 5/21..24%
This was an interesting observation I made in Game Time. At one point they far exceeded the allowed quota, and Spo made it work. Kevin Love (Monster Game in front of his home crowd) Herro Robinson Jaime (Rookie!!!) and Bam and we got outplayed. Makes me feel even more like there are just no excuses for how we are playing. There are so many players we are probably picking to start before that group of guys, but yet we got outplayed.
I think we get it. You like Ham. I like Ham for Thanksgiving too, but your obsession and defending of all things pork is kind of comical. Just admit his coaching is indefensible. Good coaches put their players in position to succeed. This porker? not so much.
