Zero defense and a lot of indecisiveness on offense.

So many turnovers: felt the Bulls must have watched a lot of film as they were all over the Lakers in terms of the lobs and interior passing
Then on defense - they cooked everyone particularly Luka and AR on the perimeter and so once the 3 starting falling for mediocre guys like Williams it was all over

    Lebron rusty as hell
Luka was awful IMO outside of the first half 3 ball IMO
Huerter got his good game every 4th game and made AR his b**** in this one
    Vando was fugly on offense

At the end brining two guys back at the same time just killed everything

Good News! Rui and Lebron are back!

Bad News!: the Lakers forgot how to play defense. FFS!

    CHI: 146
    Lakers: 115

Giving up 65 in the first half to this mediocre Bulls team was one thing. But then they came out for the 2nd half and allowed 81 points. Fug-azz pugly.

    Josh Giddey 2 steals away from a quadruple-double: 15/10/17/8

Light a match. Burn it down. Dig a huge hole in the Mojave and bury this one in it. Use a lot of quicklime.

WTF was going on mentally with this team?

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen by any Lakers squad ever - especially where the defense was concerned. Everyone not named Dončić or Reeves looked like absolute dog s***.

Lol..they got cooked on D too. Meh..it's the NBA..You can't take games for granted, and think that you can just, roll the jerseys out on the floor and win. Flush it and get ready for the upcoming road trip.

Austin is one of my favorite players, but this uncharacteristically was a really poor defensive game from him (because his defense has been really good this year).

But the entire team was HORRIBLE so it’s not really fair to single one player out because everyone was good. As good as Luka was offensively the turnovers were a major issue.

I don’t disagree with your original statement considering this was the first time this team was healthy in almost a month this was an absolutely embarrassing performance.

Do they know this was just 1 of 82?

hate how every time a bottom feeder beats us they think they won game 7 of the Finals.

BUT...This was definitely the worst loss of the year. I thought with the return of Bron and Rui, that'd jazz up the other guys and the collective energy would be up even if the returning guys weren't 100%. I WAS WRONG. It was the opposite. They underestimated the Bulls and thought they could cruise since we had reinforcements back.

Worst transition defense I've seen this season. Probably the worst overall defense too.

Luka went scorched earth in the first Q. Outside of that, YUCK!

Lot of waiting around for the other guy(s) to do something. Too much hesitation. Too many forced passes. 10 failed lobs to Jax... give or take.

Flush it and get the effort right for Monday.

We can laugh all we want but he's been playing great post the ASG. All of a sudden that Caruso trade look hell of a lot better for Chicago...

He has been, BUT I do side eye runs of great production on bad teams. It's a lot easier to put up empty calories. That's what makes evaluating young guys and their growth tough, bad teams often have the most young guys and what's true development and what's stat padding on a bottom feeder.

Their length at every position gave us trouble.
White has been on a tear the past 11 games and the coaching staff should have doubled him early.
They had a great game plan to blow up the lobs into Hayes, which made him completely unplayable.
Not sure what happened to our defensive intensity tonight.

Atrocious game, but it happens. Nuggets lost at home to the Wizards the other night. Warriors lost at home to the Nuggets resting everyone, and then again to Atlanta. Grizzlies have lost to the Blazers and Kings recently.

so, basically the first game all year that everyone's healthy, and we lose. at home. to the bulls. by 30.

i (thankfully) missed this one, but it's hard not to feel like it's a definitive statement about where we're going this year. this just doesn't happen to good teams, imo. the examples sk gives above aren't as bad as this, imo. i mean, not just a loss--but absolutely shellacked by a bad team.

It’s the first game where everyone has been healthy in quite some time and we got destroyed, but I’m not going to overreact. I don’t think the Lakers getting blown out to the Bulls is any worse than Denver losing to the Wizards considering how bad Washington is. The Warriors losing to the Nuggets without Jokic and Murray is pretty much the same to me. Especially because this is LeBron’s first game back and he’s still clearly rusty (same can be said for Rui).

Terrible game but I’m inclined to view it as an anomaly. Hoping it’s a good reality check for these guys and shows how much work they’ve got to do to actually win a title.

Chicago was celebrating their guy having a career game. Much less about beating the Lakers, but I'm sure they were happy about that too.

Yeah, no. We suck. Reasons may not be clear, but the result is – we suck.
