I knew this would happen. No one showed up with any kind of energy. This game was lost before it started.

Maybe it was a trap game but really felt the Lakers missed all three of Hayes (Len and the rest of the center was awful after Hayes went out till Koloko sort of stabilized thins), no DFS killed the Lakers ability to run small ball to get Kessler off the court, no POA defender with Gabe out.

Not a fan of the coaching in this one. Len getting his a** kicked possession after possession wasn't fun and Godwin got placed in the backburner for Shake minutes early so more bad defense. Felt like JJ wanted to experiment with the injuries and the experiments crapped the nex

Yeah. I also felt like JJ wanted to experiment a bit last night.

Absolutely. JJ and the team decided to sacrifice this game. No PoA defenders in Gabe and Dorian, Luka on minutes restriction, more minutes for Knecht with the green light to chuck some threes and Len not having a clue about offense or defense... again, not a big deal. Obviously, this was all by design. Hopefully they learned something from it and while Hayes got punched in the face, it did not seem like it's the type of injury that would keep him out for very long.

Luka still has to practice 5 on 5 with the team. Hopefully they can do that now.

Seems like we need to decide whether Goodwin or Koloko are going to be converted from their two-way contracts. Goodwin has played well since we brought him on and we do need more defense in the backcourt, but we also might want to have Koloko on the playoff roster in case Len just sucks.

Goodwin's the better player, but we can only convert one I think. And if Len really struggles (he gets a pass for last night, he just got here and the rest of the team just wanted to get to the All-Star break), it may be more important that we have Koloko as a fallback.

If one game is any indication at all: Len just sucks.

Not a big deal. We were missing three key rotation players with DFS, Gabe, and Hayes out and we missed them last night. It’s the last game before the All Star break. The Jazz are a young team and like most young teams they play much better at home.

It was only Luka’s second game with the team I missed half the game, but from what I saw he did have some issues defensively and with foul trouble. We know he’s not a great defender so it’s not a surprise, but we’ve already seen the kind of impact he can have on this offense. The vision Luka has is insane it’s probably unmatched in the league outside of his teammate LeBron James.

This is where having an extended All Star break will help this team get healthy. Alex Len should not be playing big minutes and he was forced into action due to Jaxon’s injury, but again there is a reason he was on the buy out market.

Also, we are a good home team but very average road team. We have lots of room to improve if we are to be a serious contender.

Didn't catch the game and was disappointed to see the outcome, but also didn't realize DFS and Gabe were out. When we are missing players like that, it is probably not going to be a great time.

and only got 7 minutes from Hayes, forcing Lens to give us major minutes without any time to learn anything about our system.
