If they do it certainly won't be 100 bucks. If it is their ticket sales won't be nearly as great as this last one. His rotator cuff wouldn't have stopped him from being jabbed to death and I'm not sold it'd help him get into Mayweather's defenses.

I'd pay maybe 50-60 bucks to see them fight again.

Healthy, 5 years ago, the fight may have been closer, but I think the result would still have been the same.

Mayweather is too good at his strategy of getting easy points and playing catch me if you can. Manny may have thrown a larger volume of punches a few years back, but one really needs to put Mayweather on his butt to really have a chance.

Also, it seemed to me that Floyd was much bigger than Manny that night. Keep in mind Manny was fighting at a weight he 's never fought at before, and Mayweather didn't weigh in on fight night, and left "???" on the books. He could have been fighting at his normal weight then, and it seemed Manny's power didn't really affect Floyd to be honest.

The aftermath: ringside. Mayweather to Pacquiao hugging the latter and both smiling after the fight..."Man, WE made a lot of money!" Lip readers attest to a true story.

Lewis destroyed Razor Ruddock....you're thinking about his KO loss to Hasim Rahman

Yea, he said that. You didn't even need lip readers. You could hear him saying something along the lines of, "We made a lot of money, didn't we?".

Disagree. I'd favor Pac 6 years ago. He'd probably have a right shoulder that wouldn't have gotten injured, so he'd be throwing more right hooks; Mayweather's jab and right hands are/were always going to be a problem for Manny at any point they fought. He won 4 rounds at an advanced age when his footwork wasn't as good so he wasn't creating the necessary angles I've seen in the past, he didn't have nearly the power he once did; simply, not the same fighter. I knew this going into the fight. This fight should have happened in their prime. Still pissed off about that and probably will never get over it.

That said, Kudos to Mayweather. He was the better man. One of the greatest defensive fighters in our generation...

you are right... He destroyed Rahman in the rematch. But that shot Rahman hit Lewis with was a one-hitter quitter as they say. Why would floyd who has fought with as much of his brains as his talents risk that? Some calling him a coward? Thats a joke.

Mayweather is a smart fighter by not taking risks. It's all about the points. He knows there is nothing to be gained by trading bombs with another fighter who has more power. It's worked to the tune of 48-0. You're either a purist on the technical side or on the pugilist side. Look at The Greatest nowadays. I'm sure Mayweather is aware of the repercussions. Now, if he can just get his personal and financial affairs in order off the ring...Three Comma Joe and all that.

A couple of people together have initiated a class action suit inclusive of anyone who bought a ticket or PPV for the fight, claiming fraud against Manny for not revealing he had the rotator cuff injury prior to getting into the ring. Had surgery today, similar to Kobe's injury.

And they should. If he was hurt badly enough to change the fight, he shouldn't have fought. I know hellfire would have fallen on him for it and he wouldn't have made all that money, but it would have been the right thing to do.

Yes, thanks....good read. Just now seeing this. Supposed to be an exciting fighter I have not seen fight yet, who is what Evander could get behind, in Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan defending his middleweight title tonight (Sat 5/16) on HBO for free with prelims at 7PM. He's 33 years old and 32 wins and 0 losses with 29 KOs. Against Willie Monroe Jr. 19-1 with 6 KOs. I will be watching.

^^^ He was impressive, as much so or more for his fight as Golovkin in his. Which was impressive. Monroe Jr. didn't appear to be any kind of tomato can. But Golovkin has "hands of stone" apparently. Funny, he's got this friendly nice guy face. Could definitely see him in one of those youtube videos where bar bad guys want to pick on him or his woman out back. Then proceeds to clock all of them with one or two punches. You know, you've seen those ..... [IMG]
