That's incredible. It's not only their lives he saved doing this either, imagine how many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren they had. He saved generations of people, entire family lines that would have never gone on.
I just looked him up on Wikipedia. Amazing life. What a treasure. Can't believe I never heard of him before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Winton Notable people saved Alf Dubs, Baron Dubs (born 1932), British Labour Party politician and former Member of Parliament Heini Halberstam (1926–2014), mathematician Renata Laxova (born 1931), pediatric geneticist Gerda Mayer (born 1927), poet Karel Reisz (1926–2002), filmmaker Joe Schlesinger (born 1928), Canadian television journalist and author Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss (born 1926), Chief Rabbi of the Edah HaChareidis in Jerusalem Of the 669 children saved from the Holocaust through Winton's efforts, more than 370 have never been traced. BBC News suggested in 2015 that they may not know the full story of how they survived the war.
Awesome. I think at one time or another we've all had that "feeling" that something wasn't right. Mine is usually, "get out of here" and sure enough, something jumped off. We need to trust those feelings (or hairs standing up on the back of the neck) and confront the situation like this man did.
I ran across this site, and I just am so glad there are people out there that put together stuff like this. God bless this man and all his endeavors. Spoiler www.ihatelebron.com
