I remember reading about this roughly a year ago about a team competing on brutal terrain and becoming friends with a dog who followed them. The article at that time finished by basically saying they finished the long race with the dog. I always wondered what became of that story and dog. ESPN - SCFeatured I guess decided to do a video on this and as most featured video stories they do they hit it out of the park, really well done. Here it is: http://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/18814225

Boy Embarrassed by Skin Condition Overjoyed to Meet Dog With the Same http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/boy-embarrassed-skin-condition-overjoyed-meet-dog/
Saw this on twitter the other night and didn't know where to post this but wanted to make sure people saw it. Every young man and or athlete should watch this. Everyone talks about the winning streak and all the championships UCONN Women's Basketball team wins, but it starts with how you want to build your program and the things your Head Coach his coaching staff look for in their players to build a foundation that lasts.
This guy has been a great friend as I visit a new place. Thanks @KareemtheGreat33 ! I appreciate you more than you know. I'm on the left.
Thanks, this place has been a good place for vacation/recovery after a tough few years. I'm down from 260 to 215, and still have a ways to go, but it's about 20 lbs between those two pictures.
I looked weird in a jacket and cap on the beach... I know most American posters will frown on that lol
"This sweet couple, Carrie and Craig, thought they couldn’t have children and so they adopted twins here in the United States. The twins were born on February 28th. The next year the birth mother delivered another set of twins born on February 28th. Yes, the same day! The birth mother wanted these babies to go to the same family and so ... this incredible couple adopted her second set of twins! The One Chance Foundation from Karen Kingsbury awarded them a grant to help pay for the second adoption. Shortly after the second adoption, Carrie became pregnant and found out she was carrying TWINS! And ... they were born on the following February 28th! Adoption changes lives forever and always."
It's weird. I knew this one girl at my high school who had this condition. It kind of came up her neck into her face a little bit. I actually thought it was gorgeous and really cool looking. She was pretty to begin with, but it almost made her look more exotic.
The player in the white jersey is Michael Hipps. This was his first game back since his father died from a medical emergency. The first player to come to the plate was Jovaal Hollingshed. (In the black jersey) But just before the first pitch, Jovalle put down his bat and did something that no one was expecting. He went out to the mound to offer his condolences to Michael Hipps. Here’s how the Newton County School District described it: “As the game began, Jovaal Hollingshed, the Henry County shortstop, stepped out of the batter’s box and headed straight to the pitcher’s mound to hug Michael Hipps and shake his hand. A class act.
