    Hmmm...I think both guys would be quality assistant coaches given the right situation. Head coaches? Well, we seen how that worked out. Although, D'Antoni was doomed from the very beginning and just a bad fit overall...

    His decision to move the team back to Hawaii was a great idea. It's a nice place for the players to chill while training and it's remote location keeps away bad influences.

    That's just damage control. Doesn't look good when you hire a guy, fire him, and then trash him. Buss is still a major decision-maker with the Lakers and he doesn't want to rub anyone the wrong way. He's thinking about future recruitment.

    I think it's probably more about his own reputation than theirs since he was the driving force behind both hires.

    I can see an argument for both of them being great assistants and really good basketball minds...

    I cannot see an argument for both of them being great head coaches...
