I'm sure Dudley went around and took a poll of all of or at least the majority of NBA players for this. Yeah right. I do agree with him about Randolph though, he never gets talked about, and he's one of the few great true back to the basket big-men in the game. I also agree that Melo is overrated, he is a shooter and a scorer and nothing more. The Knicks have a bad roster for sure, but you give guys like JR Smith and Shumpert to LeBron or Kobe, or Durant/Westbrook, and some others and they're going to get way more out of them than Melo does.
It's funny how James Harden is a volume shooter and people love him, but people bash Kobe and Melo for the same reasons. I think it really boils down to who's likeable and who's not. Crap is so annoying and is why I can't tolerate the NBA atmosphere anymore. So soft and weak. I like Kobe because he's not likeable. His drive and no nonsense attitude regarding his profession is exactly why I enjoy him being on the Lakers. MJ had Kobe's same personality and no one hated him for it. I think Kobe came in, in the wrong era. In this era you wear your confidence on your sleeve and play ball like your identity lets you and people respect you for it. See Russell Westbrook, LeBron, etc...
MJ said in his speech people would tell him, there's no I in team but there's a I in win. Meaning he played whatever way he could get wins under his belt and win a title, and no one hated him for it. People are going to look back on Kobe years from now and be so in awe with a player like him and wish they could have soaked up the type of player he was instead of dissecting him for every little thing.
Very simple. Kobe is super tough on people. Old school. Kids now are soft. Kobe tears his Achilles and walks over and drains two free throws.OLD SCHOOL Lebron (and most of league) get a cramp and they get carried off the court= NEW SCHOOL. If you don't wanna play with kobe, youre soft and you think youre better than you are. Players who wanna win and aren't insecure, do well with kobe.
The worst thing about this is that it's not even news. We've heard this bullcrap before. How many losers and journalists are gonna keep trotting this story out every time they feel irrelevant? Moving on...

Easy to talk about a guy who's past his prime. The only reason Kobe is still playing is to help the Lakers. In part Kobe brought this on himself, the spat with the ever popular Shaq and the Denver incident, played a huge part. hes entitled to his opinion, and I don't see it as a scathing review in fact it's refreshing to see some true honesty in a player. I'm inclined to believe him, however I don't think his circle of friends that confide in him are the ones we'd really care about playing on this team. His circle of friends are bench players. I see a few stars in this FA class looking at LA as a big opportunity and stage.
Dudley is right about Kobe sometimes not passing at all and sometimes overpassing or going for triple doubles...during his career, Kobe never really found a perfect balance between all that. He would always say "I read the defense and take what they give me". But its not true. Sometimes he forces the issue, sometimes he doesn't. Regardless of what is the case he (doughboy dudley) needs to STFU and talk for himself. Considering he is a dud (literally), he is not supposed to talk trash about one of the greatest players in NBA history.
What I found funny is since these comments, he's put more work in trying to backpedal via sports shows today and via twitter last night than he spent on the court all season. Backing off the Kobe and Melo comments. If you're going to say something, own it. Don't run like a little girl when you can't take the flack you get for your opinion.
...or he's looking for attention. Dudley was never one to shy from a mic or a camera. For a lower tier player, he's trying to achieve some notoriety so he can end up as a broadcaster or even worse, an ESPN panelist.
...and another thing, Doughboy Dudley is the same windbag who questioned WHY would "already a champion" Howard could turn away from the Laker franchise.
I was listening to ESPN radio today (like most days when I'm driving) and Dudley was scheduled to do a few more interviews today and he backed out. They said he couldn't handle the backlash he got on the Kobe comments, as well as saying Melo is the most overrated. They were going to ask him about the Wade situation and he wouldn't come on air.

never liked dudley but didn't we all know this? the league is as soft as it's ever been in 2015 and it's just getting softer. kobe is the last of his kind and we've seen firsthand with howard that all these new generation players care about is money, image, and having fun. whereas winning is EVERYTHING to kobe and he won't stand for this new school BS
